Veronika Kudermetova vs Ekaterina Alexandrova
7.15pm
Back Over 21.5 Total Games @ $1.80
Veronika Kudermetova and Ekaterina Alexandrova meet for the second time in a fortnight in the quarter-finals of the Libema Open – the third time in four years they have squared off in Den Bosch in four years.
Alexandrova leads a busy rivalry 4-3. They have met twice already in 2025, Kudermetova winning at the Dubai Championships and Alexandrova claiming a dominant 6-2 6-2 result in the third round of the French Open.
They have clashed three times on grass, with Alexandrova winning all three – including in the semis of this tournament in 2022 and the final in 2023.
World No.19 Alexandrova lost to Coco Gauff in the French Open’s Round of 16 but has beaten Mariam Bolkvadze and Anna Blinkova in straight sets here as the second seed.
Kudermetova has moved back into the top 40 thanks to a solid clay swing and has disposed of sister Polina and Greet Mineen very comfortably so far this week.
The French Open result provides Alexandrova with a solid psychological edge, but the dangerous Kudermetova’s form suggests another tight grass-court affair between this duo.
Diana Shnaider vs Madison Keys
9.15pm
Back Keys to Cover the Games Handicap (-3.5) @ $1.91
The Queen’s Club Championships heat up in the quarter-finals with a showdown between fifth seed Diana Shnaider and second seed Madison Keys.
Shnaider has accounted for Magdalena Frech (6-4 6-1) and Katie Boulter (2-6 6-3 6-2) so far, while Keys thrashed Anastasia Zakharova 6-3 6-2 in the Round of 16 after getting a first-up bye.
Australian Open champ Keys is coming off a quarter-final run at the French Open – losing to eventual champ Coco Gauff – and is a two-time Wimbledon quarter-finalist, as well as winning the Eastbourne International twice and a Birmingham Classic.
Shnaider dipped out in the second round at Roland Garros to Dayana Yastremska, but she underlined her ability on grass on last year’s swing by taking out the Bad Homburg Open.
Their only previous clash was at the 2024 Miami Masters, with Keys claiming a comfortable straight-sets win. Shnaider’s only top-10 win was against Gauff at last year’s Canadian Masters – which may prove an insurmountable mental hurdle against eighth-ranked Keys, who is good form.
Daniil Medvedev vs Reilly Opelka
11.15pm
SGM – Back Medvedev to Win and Opelka to Cover the Games Handicap (+4.5) @ $2.14
Top seed Daniil Medvedev takes on American qualifier Reilly Opelka in the quarter-finals in Den Bosch.
Medvedev has a 4-1 lead in the rivalry, though they haven’t met since the Russian’s victory in the 2021 Canadian Masters final.
A reasonable clay swing for Medvedev ended in bitterly disappointing style, beaten in five sets by Cameron Norrie in the first round of the French Open – continuing a difficult 2025 to date for the world No.11.
Medvedev outlasted Adrian Mannarino 7-6 6-4 in the Round of 16 here.
The towering Opelka has been ranked in the top 20 but is currently the No.87. However, after winning two qualifying matches, he has put away Jesper De Jong (6-7 7-6 6-2) and Nicolas Jarry (7-6 6-3) with ace-heavy performances this week.
Medvedev is among the tour’s best returners and has reached the last two Wimbledon semi-finals, but the $1.29 favourite is well short of his best at present and will have to work hard against a rejuvenated Opelka.
Ben Shelton vs Jiri Lehecka
1.15am
Back Shelton to Win @ $2.00
Third seed Ben Shelton is a slight outsider in the Stuttgart Open quarter-finals, where he locks horns with fellow tyro and eighth seed Jiri Lehecka for the first time.
World No.12 Shelton reached a career-high ranking on a clay swing that included reaching the BMW Open final and the French Open’s Round of 16, losing to big dogs Alexander Zverev and Carlos Alcaraz, respectively.
Shelton made it to the fourth round at Wimbledon last year. Lehecka got to the last 16 in 2023 before missing last year’s grass swing with injury.
Lehecka, currently 33rd, went down heavily to Jannik Sinner in the third round at Roland Garros. But he’s advanced to the last eight in Stuttgart with wins over Benjamin Bonzi (6-4 6-4) and Jan-Lennard Struff (6-4 7-5).
Though Lehecka boasts a strong record against higher-ranked opposition – counting a win over Alcaraz at the Qatar Open this year among seven top-10 victories – Shelton has enough form on the board to get behind in this one.
