Octa De Lago looks well placed to strike today at Gosford.
The Pierata gelding has only made two appearances at the races so far, but after winning on debut at Goulburn last month, he found a metro field at Canterbury just a little too sharp at this point of his career.
Fitter third-up and back to provincial company today, I can’t find a reason why he won’t be in the finish.
Moe - Race 5 2pm
No. 10 Night Colours
Night Colours is third-up and primed for a competitive performance today at Moe.
The Night Of Thunder filly returned to action with a nice effort to fill the minors, beaten just over half a length at Werribee, while she sustained a tough run at Seymour last time.
Fitter third-up today, we can have an each way play at the price ($8.50 at publish).
Gosford - Race 4 2:25pm
No. 1 Golden Straand
Golden Straand takes improvement into his second career start.
Golden Straand showed promise at the trials ahead of his debut before working home well at Wyong earlier this month to finish second.
With natural improvement today, he can begin his rise through the grades.
Moe - Race 9 4pm
No. 3 Eye For An Eye
Eye For An Eye is fit and ready to win today at Moe.
The Kodiac gelding is yet to strike in four starts for the John Leek Jnr yard, but he’s been near to the mark on a couple of occasions and finished within a length of the winner at Geelong last time out.
He’s fit today and might not be offered a better opportunity to win than this.
