See below for our expert Wednesday daily racing tips for June 25th, including Randwick-Kensington best bets!
Randwick-Kensington - Race 1 1:00pm
No. 2 Indigo Star
INDIGO STAR (2) appears well-placed to finally shed the maiden tag for Chris Waller and connections.
The three-year-old to Zoustar has gone close on a couple of occasions over five starts, last seen finishing runner-up at Canterbury where he went down by the smallest of margins in a blanket finish.
Watching back, he really only hit top gear over his final few strides, while it’s worth noting he was facing a Heavy 9 that day.
Randwick-Kensington - Race 3 2:10pm
No. 2 Sapphire Rose
SAPPHIRE ROSE (2) looks the one to beat coming off a superb debut win at Wyong two weeks ago.
The filly out of Blue Point took over at the top of the straight to win by just over a length, knuckling down along the inside to fend off Golden Straand out wide, who has since gone on to win his next start.
She’s drawn to receive a similar setup here in behind the speed from another low gate, and with half the field on debut, this race doesn’t look much tougher.
Randwick-Kensington - Race 5 3:20pm
No. 9 Brave Heart
BRAVEHEART (9) looks as though he could run a nice race fresh from a lengthy spell.
The Team Snowden-trained sprinter returns a gelding after last racing at Wyong last September, seen finishing 5.5 lengths off after over-racing at a key stage.
He’s since come out and won a recent Randwick trial very nicely though, letting down with a solid turn of foot along the rail to go a length clear.
With a bit of wet-track experience and Tommy Berry proven in the saddle, he’s worth a look each-way.
Randwick-Kensington - Race 7 4:30pm
No. 7 Lugh
LUGH (7) is an absolute ripper for Ciaron Maher who looks ready to add to a record that features three wins from four starts.
The son of Snitzel resumed briefly at Newcastle back in January where he bolted in to win by nearly a length with a bit left to give through the line.
The form out of that has held up well since and with wins over further, stepping out over 1300m fresh shouldn’t pose much of an issue with a trial between runs.
