The Perth Wildcats are back in the Grand Final for another year hoping to defend their title against a record-breaking Kings side looking to win their fourth championship.
These two sides have arguably been the best all season and we should be treated to a thrilling five-game series with several of the league’s best players taking the court.
We’ll preview each and every game as the markets become available, so be sure to check back on our complete 2020 NBL Grand Final Preview below.
Friday March 13, 10:30pm, RAC Arena
After a thrilling two-point victory in Game 1, the series now shifts back over to Perth as the Wildcats look to take another step towards defending their title.
Bryce Cotton’s 32-point performance was frightening on Sunday night, while Mason Plumlee also chipped in with a handy seven boards.
The Kings certainly weren’t disgraced on the glass as they controlled the rebounds, but Sydney’s inability to shoot from three and also find accuracy at the free-throw line ultimately cost them.
Sydney are now faced with the unenviable task of winning on the road at RAC Arena – the sight of two blowout losses to the Wildcats during the regular season.
Form wise, the Kings have been unbelievably bad as the line underdog this year covering only once in three games. Sydney’s 3-11 mark as the away underdog at the line isn’t much better, either.
The Wildcats, meanwhile, have won 15 of their 17 games as the home favourite against the Kings and have also won seven straight home games dating back to Round 12.
All things considered; this should be a much more comfortable Perth victory as they look ahead to Game 3.

Kings 86 - Wildcats 88
The 2019 NBL Grand Final is here and we are set for some simply outstanding basketball over the next week.
It is the Perth Wildcats that will go into the NBL Grand Final Series as narrow favourites, but there really isn’t anything between these two teams and every game should be a hard-fought affair.
We have analysed both teams and our complete 2019 NBL Grand Final tips can be found below.
Friday March 15, 10:35pm, Perth Arena
With the series now tied 1-1 apiece, the odds have swung in the homes teams’ favour as Game 3 tips off from Perth on Friday night.
Melbourne lost by 10 last week when they traveled West, but they weren’t disgraced on the stat sheet. Despite the scoreline, United shot 45% from the field, but they’ll need to correct their woes from the three-point line if they wish to pull off an upset on the road.
For Perth, Sunday’s loss in Melbourne also held a lesson in consistency. The Wildcats fell by 18-point in what was a disappointing defensive display, particularly in the third-quarter. On the flip side, Perth’s offence completely fell apart in the second half, managing only 31-points.
Since we now have a feel for how these sides match up, it’s tough to back a Melbourne upset in Game 3. United haven’t won in Perth since January 2018, while it’s even harder to argue with the Wildcats’ impressive 12-3 record as the line favourite at home.
It’s reasonable to assume this game will be closer than their opening meeting in Perth, but the five-day rest surely plays into the hands of the hosts as we look headed for a five-game series thriller.
Tip: Back the Wildcats to Cover The Line (-2.5 Points) @ $1.90
Sunday March 10, 2:50pm, Melbourne Arena
Melbourne United 92 - Perth Wildcats 74
Perth cruised to a 10-point win over Melbourne at home on Friday night. It was in large part due to a big performance from Terrico White, who finished 3-from-6 from three with a tidy 19-points to his name.
The series shifts to Melbourne on Sunday afternoon with the roles reversed. United enter as the four-point favourite, which is handy considering they are 10-1-7 as the line favourite at home over the last 12-months.
Melbourne have won three-straight home games over the Wildcats, but the last time they met at Melbourne Arena the two needed overtime to sort things out. There’s no doubt this game could turn out close in the dying stages, especially when you factor in the fact Perth have won two of their last three games on the road.
As for United, Melbourne have won four of their last six home games, two of which were decided in blowout fashion. It’s tough to see United manhandling a strong defensive team like Perth, however, which makes the margin a strong play on Sunday
Tip: Back Melbourne United 1-10
Friday March 8, 10:20pm, Perth Arena
Perth Wildcats 81 - Melbourne United 71
The home ground advantage is always enormous in the NBL and that is why the Perth Wildcats will go into this clash at Perth Arena as a clear favourite.
Perth have won eight of their past nine matches and their only loss in that time came at the hands of Melbourne United at overtime.
The Wildcats have won 12 of their past 15 games as home favourites and they are a highly profitable 11-4 against the line in this situation.
Winning away from home has not been an issue for Melbourne United this season and they have won three of their past six games as away underdogs for a small profit.
In saying that, their overall record against the line on the road is fairly poor and it is always tough to bet against the Wildcats in front of their home fans.
The Wildcats can get the job done comfortably and put themselves in the box-seat in the 2019 NBL Grand Final Series.

Adelaide showed plenty of character to keep this series alive with their win at Titanium Security Arena last weekend and they are capable of winning games on the road – they have won seven of their past 14 games as away underdogs for a clear profit.
In saying that, it is going to be tough for Adelaide to maintain their level without Josh Childress in the side.
Melbourne United may never have a better chance to win a NBL Championship and they should be able to hold their nerve to secure the title!

Hisense Arena has been something of a fortress for Melbourne United this season and they have won 12 of their past 15 games as home favourites, while they are 9-1-5 against the line in this scenario.

It is impossible to ignore the outstanding record that Melbourne United have against Adelaide and they can move closer to the NBL title with a win on Friday night.

Melbourne United have now won the past four games played between these two sides, but they will still go into this clash as underdogs.
They have won four of their past seven games as away underdogs and it is tough to bet against a side that has been in such excellent form this season.
The Adelaide 36ers desperately need to win this clash and there are some positives they can take from their opening loss in the NBL Grand Final Series.
Adelaide have won ten of their past 12 games as home favourites and even more impressive is the fact that they have covered the line in nine of these wins.
This is a game that the market looks to have just about right and I am happy to stay out from a betting perspective.
Friday March 23, 7:30pm, Hisense Arena
The Adelaide 36ers recorded a massive win over Melbourne United in the second game of the NBL Grand Final Series, but it is Melbourne that will go into this clash as clear favourites.
Melbourne United have proven very tough to beat at home in the second half of this season and it is always tough to bet against them in front of their home fans.
They have won 13 of their past 16 games as home favourites for a clear profit and they have covered the line in ten of these wins.
Adelaide will take a great deal of confidence from their big win over Melbourne United at Titanium Security Arena and they definitely can’t be discounted at Hisense Arena.
The 36ers have won seven of their past 13 games as away underdogs for a profit, but they have won only four of their past 14 games against Melbourne United in this scenario.
There is no way that Melbourne United will play as poorly as they did in the second game of this series and they can re-take control with a win over Adelaide on Friday night.
Back Melbourne United To Beat The Line (-4.5 Points)
The 2017 NBL Grand Final Series is here!
The Adelaide 36ers were the standout team during the NBL regular season, but the Illawarra Hawks proved too strong in the semi-finals and they set-up a Grand Final clash with defending champions Perth Wildcats.
There is very little between these two teams in series betting and this is set to be a fascinating contest over five games.
Sunday February 26, 7:00pm, Perth Arena
Perth have won four games on the trot to qualify for the NBL Grand Final Series and they will go into the opening game at the Perth Arena as clear favourites.
The Wildcats have won 11 of their 15 games as home favourites this season for a small profit, but they have a 7-1-7 record against the line in this scenario.
Illawarra produced their best performance of the season to beat the Adelaide 36ers away from home and they have been the most underrated team in the NBL throughout this season.
The Hawks have won six of their past 15 games as away underdogs for a profit and they have shown that they are capable of winning on the roar.
There will not be as much between these two teams as the current price suggests and the Hawks are genuine value to start the NBL Grand Final Series with a victory.

The Wildcats have won six of their past 15 games as away underdogs for only a narrow loss, but they are 9-6 against the line in this scenario.
