The 2018 NBL Grand Final Series has arrived!

Melbourne United have been nothing short of outstanding in the second half of the NBL season and they will go into the Grand Final Series as clear favourites, but they face an Adelaide United side that has played some excellent basketball in recent weeks.

Can Melbourne United capture a maiden NBL Championship or will the Adelaide 36ers claim their first title since 2002?

We have analysed both sides and our 2018 NBL Grand Final tips can be found below!

Melbourne United Vs Adelaide 36ers

Saturday March 31, 7:30pm, Hisense Arena

There are no second chances now – the NBL Championship will be on the line when Melbourne United and the Adelaide 36ers do battle at Hisense Arena on Saturday night.

Home-court advantage has proven crucial during this series to date and it is no surprise that Melbourne United will go into this clash as clear favourites.

The home-side has won the past six games between these two teams and Melbourne United have been especially tough to beat in front of their home fans – they have won 14 of their past 17 games as home favourites and they are 10-1-6 against the line in this scenario.

Adelaide showed plenty of character to keep this series alive with their win at┬áTitanium Security Arena last weekend and they are capable of winning games on the road – they have won seven of their past 14 games as away underdogs for a clear profit.

In saying that, it is going to be tough for Adelaide to maintain their level without Josh Childress in the side.

Melbourne United may never have a better chance to win a NBL Championship and they should be able to hold their nerve to secure the title!

Melbourne United Vs Adelaide 36ers

Friday March 16, 7:30pm, Hisense Arena

Melbourne United have won 10 of their past 12 matches and they will go into this Grand Final clash with the Adelaide 36ers as clear favourites.

Melbourne United recorded a comfortable win over the New Zealand Breakers in the opening game of their semi-final series and they kept their composure to score a thrilling overtime win in New Zealand in one of the most exciting games of the year.

Hisense Arena has been something of a fortress for Melbourne United this season and they have won 12 of their past 15 games as home favourites, while they are 9-1-5 against the line in this scenario.

Even more impressive is the fact that they have won six of their past seven games against Adelaide.

Adelaide came from behind to beat the Perth Wildcats in the second game of their semi-final series and they head into this clash on the back of five straight wins.

The 36ers have won seven of their past 12 games as away underdogs for a big profit and winning on the road has not been an issue for this side over the past couple of seasons.

It is impossible to ignore the outstanding record that Melbourne United have against Adelaide and they can move closer to the NBL title with a win on Friday night.

Adelaide 36ers Vs Melbourne United

Sunday March 18, 3:00pm, Titanium Security Arena

Melbourne United won the opening game of the 2018 NBL Grand Final Series and they are now only two wins away from the NBL Championship.

Melbourne United have now won the past four games played between these two sides, but they will still go into this clash as underdogs.

They have won four of their past seven games as away underdogs and it is tough to bet against a side that has been in such excellent form this season.

The Adelaide 36ers desperately need to win this clash and there are some positives they can take from their opening loss in the NBL Grand Final Series.

Adelaide have won ten of their past 12 games as home favourites and even more impressive is the fact that they have covered the line in nine of these wins.

This is a game that the market looks to have just about right and I am happy to stay out from a betting perspective.

Melbourne United Vs Adelaide 36ers

Friday March 23, 7:30pm, Hisense Arena

The Adelaide 36ers recorded a massive win over Melbourne United in the second game of the NBL Grand Final Series, but it is Melbourne that will go into this clash as clear favourites.

Melbourne United have proven very tough to beat at home in the second half of this season and it is always tough to bet against them in front of their home fans.

They have won 13 of their past 16 games as home favourites for a clear profit and they have covered the line in ten of these wins.

Adelaide will take a great deal of confidence from their big win over Melbourne United at┬áTitanium Security Arena and they definitely can’t be discounted at Hisense Arena.

The 36ers have won seven of their past 13 games as away underdogs for a profit, but they have won only four of their past 14 games against Melbourne United in this scenario.

There is no way that Melbourne United will play as poorly as they did in the second game of this series and they can re-take control with a win over Adelaide on Friday night.

The 2017 NBL Grand Final Series is here!

The Adelaide 36ers were the standout team during the NBL regular season, but the Illawarra Hawks proved too strong in the semi-finals and they set-up a Grand Final clash with defending champions Perth Wildcats.

There is very little between these two teams in series betting and this is set to be a fascinating contest over five games.

Perth Wildcats Vs Illawarra Hawks

Sunday February 26, 7:00pm, Perth Arena

Perth have won four games on the trot to qualify for the NBL Grand Final Series and they will go into the opening game at the Perth Arena as clear favourites.

The Wildcats have won 11 of their 15 games as home favourites this season for a small profit, but they have a 7-1-7 record against the line in this scenario.

Illawarra produced their best performance of the season to beat the Adelaide 36ers away from home and they have been the most underrated team in the NBL throughout this season.

The Hawks have won six of their past 15 games as away underdogs for a profit and they have shown that they are capable of winning on the roar.

There will not be as much between these two teams as the current price suggests and the Hawks are genuine value to start the NBL Grand Final Series with a victory.

Illawarra Hawks Vs Perth Wildcats

Wednesday March 1, 7:30pm, Win Entertainment Centre

The Perth Wildcats started the 2017 NBL Grand Final Series with a comfortable win over Illawarra and this is now basically a must-win clash for the Hawks.

Illawarra will start this clash as narrow favourites and they have actually been a losing betting proposition in this scenario – they have won just eight of their 13 games and are 6-7 against the line.

Perth have now won seven of their past eight games and they will go into this clash with Illawarra as clear favourites.

The Wildcats have won six of their past 15 games as away underdogs for only a narrow loss, but they are 9-6 against the line in this scenario.

The big-game experience of Perth paid dividends in the opening game of the NBL Grand Final Series and they are a good bet to almost secure yet another NBL Championship.
