Facebooktwittergoogle_plusmail

It is another massive weekend in the NBL and there are a host of big games set to take place from Thursday to Sunday.

The Perth Wildcats, Melbourne United and the New Zealand Breakers remain locked in a battle at the top of the NBL Ladder and the Adelaide 36ers can get themselves into that mix with wins over the Cairns Taipans and Sydney Kings this weekend.

We have analysed all six games set to take place and our complete NBL Round 14 tips can be found below.

Adelaide 36ers Vs Cairns Taipans

Thursday January 11, 7:30pm, Titanium Security Arena

The Adelaide 36ers are coming off an overtime thriller against the Cairns Taipans and they will start this clash as clear favourites.

Adelaide have won three games on the trot and can open up a gap between them and the chasing group outside the top four, with a pair of wins this weekend.

The 36ers have won nine of their past 14 games as home favourites and they have covered the line in eight of these victories.

Cairns have won only one of their past four games and winning away from home continues to be an issue.

The Taipans have won only four of their past 15 games as away underdogs and their record against the line is no better.

The line may be big, but the 36ers should still prove too strong for their rivals.

Perth Wildcats Vs Melbourne United

Friday January 12, 9:30pm, Perth Arena

Melbourne United have won six games on the trot, but it is the Perth Wildcats that will start this clash as favourites.

Perth have struggled for consistency in recent weeks, but their record against Melbourne United is outstanding and they have won the past six games played between the two sides.

The Wildcats have won 13 of their past 16 games as home favourites and more impressively they are 12-4 against the line in this scenario.

Melbourne will face their biggest challenge since their winning streak began.

They have won two of their past six games as away underdogs and they are a middling 3-3 against the line in this scenario.

Melbourne’s winning streak has to come to an end at some point and Perth are good value to do just that on Friday night.

Sydney Kings Vs Adelaide 36ers

Saturday January 13, 5:30pm, Qudos Bank Arena

This will be the second game for the Adelaide 36ers in three games and they will start this clash as favourites.

Winning away from home is not an issue for the 36ers and they have won six of their past 13 games on the road for a clear profit.

This season continues to be a struggle for the Sydney Kings and they come into this clash on the back of heavy defeats at the hands of both Melbourne United and the Perth Wildcats.

They have failed to cover the line in all three of their games as home favourites and they have lost eight games in a row against the 36ers,

Adelaide can continue their dominance over the Sydney and claim another comfortable win.

Illawarra Hawks Vs New Zealand Breakers

Saturday January 13, 7:30pm, WIN Entertainment Centre

The Illawarra Hawks will go into this clash with the New Zealand Breakers as narrow favourites.

Illawarra had their winning streak ended by Melbourne United last weekend, but they were far from disgraced and they have played some excellent football over the past couple of weeks.

The Hawks have won seven of their past 11 games as home favourites and they are 6-5 against the line in this scenario.

New Zealand recorded a big win over the Cairns Taipans last weekend and they are a team that have thrived away from home this season.

The Breakers have won seven of their past ten games as away underdogs for a huge profit and their record in Illawarra is outstanding.

New Zealand are well and truly over the odds to win this clash and they are the best value betting play of the week.

Perth have done plenty of travelling this week and that could come back to hurt them in the final stages of this clash.

Brisbane Bullets Vs Perth Wildcats

Monday January 9, 7:30pm, Brisbane Convention Centre

Brisbane Bullets 68 - Perth Wildcats 72

The Brisbane Bullets returned to winning form against the Cairns Taipans last weekend and they will start this game as favourites, but they have won only two of their past seven games in this scenario.
