No. 2 Estoril Park
Estoril Park has won only once from 14 starts, but this does look a winnable contest for her stepping back in class.
She was unlucky not to score when a narrow third two back at Caulfield, and she was only 1.5L off the winner in her latest at The Valley.
This is a slightly easier race, and with a couple of placings to her name on rain-affected going, she’s the one to beat.

No. 5 Crystal Chief
Crystal Chief is back on the scene for the first time in close to 10 months.
The son of Written Tycoon has made only six starts in his lightly-raced career and has typically been competitive over 1100m with a win and a place to his name from two starts.
He won his maiden fresh two years ago and has raced well at Caulfield and Flemington in the past. Damien Thornton steers and the pair should be doing their best work late.

No. 5 Flossing
Flossing steps out beyond the mile for the first time second-up from a spell.
The son of Tavistock resumed two weeks ago at Pakenham where he filled the frame with a late run over 1400m, a performance he can improve on getting out over further.
The four-year-old won his maiden at this stage of his prep last time in work and Craig Newitt has options from barrier 3.

No. 8 Huguenot
Huguenot strips fitter for two runs back and rates as a decent each-way chance despite the rise in class.
The four-year-old showed improvement for second at Geelong two weeks ago after settling on the speed, and he’ll likely roll forward again and give the others something to catch.
Huguenot placed third-up last time in, and he’s got some soft track form to suit if there’s any rain about.
