St. Louis Cardinals vs Washington Nationals
Now sitting eight games back from the division leading Braves, every game is a big deal from here on out for the Nationals. This road trip to St. Louis is equally as important, and against Austin Gomber and the Cardinals, this is a huge chance for Washington to try and even up the series. Gomber has lasted just five innings since his conversion from bullpen arm to starter, and if the Nats can get a hold of the lefty early, they should take this.
Los Angeles FC vs Real Salt Lake
After such a successful month in July, LAFC have slumped to back-to-back losses over the last week. Real Salt Lake are fresh from a disappointing 1-1 draw with Montreal, and although a trip to Los Angeles might seem like a daunting task, RSL are a force on the road. Mike Petke’s side have won nine games this season away from home, and if they can rely on Joao Plata once again, they might just hand LA their second home loss in club history.
Brisbane Broncos vs South Sydney Rabbitohs
There’s plenty going on at the Broncos right now, but first and foremost, keeping their finals hopes alive has to come as top priority. Brisbane fought hard to keep in touch with the Cowboys last week, but once again, a poor opening 10 minutes let them down. Fortunately the Rabbitohs have a rather average record at Suncorp – they haven’t won at the ground since 2014.
