Chicago Bears v LA Rams
It’s going to be a cold night in Chicago as two of the NFC’s best teams face off. Chicago has developed a defence reminiscent of the team’s glory days in the 80’s while the Rams have one of the most versatile, high powered offences in the league. With conditions potentially not conducive to throwing the ball and Khalil Mack ready to wreak havoc in the Rams backfield, this has the makings of a Todd Gurley game with the Rams likely to give him over 30 touches.
Gurley is going to be the most talented player on the field when the Rams have the ball and should be able to carry them to a win. With a run heavy gameplan likely to come into play on both sides of the ball, adding in the under for some extra value becomes an even more appealing option as the number of possessions is likely to drop as well.
Athletic Bilbao vs Girona
We’re going for an upset play that offers up some real value from La Liga here, but all things considered, it is hard to see why Bilbao are favoured here. Girona sit in eighth place in La Liga and have been in good form lately, unbeaten in their last eight games in all competitions. Bilbao on the other hand had a confidence boosting 8-0 aggregate win over La Liga strugglers Huesca in the Copa del Rey but have one just one league fixture all season. Take the value on offer with the away team here to pick up a big three points.
Everton v Watford
After a couple of very disappointing results, Everton will be desperate to win at home when they take on Watford. The past six meetings have been split down the middle with two wins each and two draws. A win for the Toffees could send them up to 6th place and heap more misery on a Watford side that hasn’t won in their last five games. Until the Hornets can find some form they are a good side to back against.
