  • 1st: #7 EARTH ANGEL ($6.50)
  • 2nd: #4 MISS WAHOO ($8)
  • 3rd: #1 COUNTERPLAY ($9)

A really hard betting race this year with six of the 11 runners under double-figures and a host of livewire chances. Fancy EARTH ANGEL ($6.50) to finish on top with Damien Oliver riding the Lindsay Par-trained filly. She is up notably in grade, but wasn’t far off Paris Rock at this track /distance first-up and presents fitter for the run. Paris Rock franked the form when a close fourth only a length off The Vanity winner last weekend. MISS WAHOO ($8) value Each Way chance for in-form trainer Tony McEvoy. She comes off back-to-back wins in Adelaide and is flying with Jamie Kah retaining the ride. COUNTERPLAY ($9) could prove the value second-up after the nice second in Adelaide over 1300m. Nicely-bred Sepoy filly has been thereabouts.
