Our Ladbrokes’ insider Reisling Stakes 2018 betting tips on the sprint race for Golden Slipper-bound fillies will be detailed below the week of the race so check back to see the two-year-olds to back and sack in the Randwick feature.

  • 1st: #2 ESTIJAAB ($1.30)
  • 2nd: #1 OUTBACK BARBIE ($8)
  • 3rd: #4 ENNIS HILL ($14)

An odds-on favourite and she looks mighty hard to beat means there is little value in this year’s Reisling Stakes. The Team Hawkes-trained ESTIJAAB ($1.30) won at the Randwick track on debut in January before the close second to Golden Slipper favourite Sunlight in the Group 2 Silver Slipper Stakes (1100m). She’s fitter now and back at Randwick against only seven rivals, six of which have had a previous starts. Barrier two and no Sunlight, she’s the winner. OUTBACK BARBIE ($8) the only other runner under $10 and even though this is a step-up in grade, she’s a livewire hope fresh for Brisbane’s Tony Gollan. Black-type Doomben winner on debut before the third to Sunlight in the Magic Millions Classic at the Gold Coast. Blitzed a subsequent barrier trial by 9.5 lengths, will challenge. ENNIS HILL ($14) adds a bit of value off a different prep. Lindsay Park-trained filly won a Group 3 at Caulfield in early February before running ninth in the Ladbrokes Blue Diamond. Needs to handle the Syndey way, but she’s up to this grade.
