Wednesday racing takes us to Seymour this week where eight races will be run and won.
The rail will be in the true position and the track is currently rated a good 4.
We’ve run the rule over each event and our thoughts and selections can be found below.
Chicago King is becoming costly but I think the Street Boss gelding will be winning if he’s on is best behaviour.
Placed in three of his five starts, he’s shown he has the ability but things just haven’t gone right for the gelding, much of which has been by his own doing.
At his second run back this campaign, he knuckled upon jumping and was then held up approaching the home turn but finished off strongly into second.
Last time, he drew the inside gate at Mornington but dislodged his rider as the gates opened and took no part.
He’s since been sent back to the trials where he did everything right and won the 1200m heat in good style.
Race fit, he looks well suited up to the mile and he draws to get the right run, provided he leaves the gates cleanly.
Billy Egan will do the steering and the visors go on, replacing the blinkers.

There was a bit to like about the debut performance of Hubristic and she’s sure to have taken plenty of improvement from it.
Over 1200m at Mornington, the Price / Kent trained filly got back and was always wide of the outside draw but still finished off strongly into fourth.
With that run under her belt, the rise to 1400m looks ideal and if she slot in and find cover early, she’ll be strong late.

Markdel returns to the races and the son of Snitzel has been gelded since we last saw him on raceday.
Yet to miss a top four spot in five race starts, he’s shown good ability and the form around him is solid.
He lines up here off two recent jump outs and when placed under pressure his latest, he showed plenty of grit to win the 1000m heat.
Blake Shinn jumps aboard for Anthony and Sam Freedman and the 1200m kick off looks ideal.

Transactions is another that makes his return as a gelding.
The son of Capitalist just had the three starts in his first campaign and was well supported on each occasion after showing plenty of natural talent in trials and jump outs.
He wasn’t far away at his first two appearances but was sent to the paddock after being well beaten over 1100m at Moe.
The tongue tie had been removed prior to that run and it’s since been reapplied.
He comes here off two recent hit outs and his last trial saw him doing his best work late. .

Krysanova kicks off her preparation.
Formally trained in WA, the four year old mare failed to fire in three runs for new trainer Cliff Brown last time in but she now looks to have settled in well, following a couple of very pleasing jump out performances.
A winner of three races, she’s also been placed around the likes of Ripcord and Oscar’s Fortune and has proven herself a very handy sprinter on her day.
She boasts a terrific first up record and was ultra impressive winning a recent 1000m jump out under Daniel Stackhouse.
He takes the mount here and barrier five should see her afforded every chance.

Kyle tired late when resuming off lengthy break over 955m at Moonee Valley but I think we’ll see much improved performance from him here.
Having his first start on Australia soil, the former Hong Kong galloper did have to work hard in the early part to take up his position but rider Blake Shinn reported post race that he didn’t feel entirely comfortable in his action over the final part.
He was ultra impressive winning an 800m jump out prior to his return and is sure to appreciate getting out onto a bigger track.
Both of wins have been second up and Shinn stays in the saddle for Enver Jusufovic.

Eight Gorillas comes off a determined maiden victory and the filly looks to have a bright future.
With the four race starts, the daughter of Fiorente just looked in need of more ground at her second and third outings and up to 1500m last time, she proved too strong over the final part.
The slight rise again to 1600m will suit and she gets in nicely with the 1.5kg claim for in-form apprentice Logan Bates.

Le Mans resumes.
A daughter of Kodiac, the mare caught the eye when kicking off last campaign in what was her first start in Australia.
Over 1400m at Caulfield she settled well back and charged home to finish half a length off in third.
Beginning her career in UK, she made it two wins from just four starts before making her way down under and whilst she wasn’t able to get a win on the board last prep, she did perform well and I think we’ll see big things from her this preparation
She will improve when she steps out over more ground but she has placed in both first up outings and the 1400m kick off looks suitable.
Ethan Brown goes aboard and from the wide gate she can settle back and is sure to be doing her best work late.
