Eurhythmic Stakes Tips

Good Eurhythmic Stakes betting tips include backing Perth-trained horses with previous winning form and those at single-figures in the markets as the favourites have a strong recent record in the event.

Six-year-olds have a dominant recent record in the event so backing this age group in your Eurhythmic Stakes bets is a good tip.

Diamond Scene (2025) was the last six-year-old Eurhythmic Stakes winner.

Another key Eurhythmic Stakes tip is to back horses drawn in barriers 1-9 with the only to salute from a double-digit barrier since 2007 being King Saul (barrier 13 in 2012), Karli’s Karma (barrier 11 in 2023) and Comfort Me (barrier 13 in 2024).

2025 Eurhythmic Stakes Tips

Our Ladbrokes’ exclusive Eurhythmic Stakes 2025 betting tips and exotic Perth racing selections on the event will be detailed below the week of the race.

To Win: No. 7 Watch Me Rock

It’s hard to go past resuming favourite WATCH ME ROCK (1), who draws perfectly in barrier one to launch his spring campaign with the ‘Wizard of the West’ Willie Pike aboard for Grant & Alana Williams. The five-year-old son of Awesome Rock lived up to his name last prep, stringing together three straight wins at Ascot in a dominant autumn blitz. He steps up in grade here but looks well and truly ready for a Group 3 breakthrough at his pet track, where he boasts a near-flawless record of seven wins from eight starts. The 1400m trip is ideal to kick things off, he’s proven fresh, and the weight scale suits. Genuine winning chance.

The Eurythmic Stakes is a Group 3 race run and won at Perth’s Ascot Racecourse in Western Australia over the spring racing season.

The event was formerly known as the Northerly Stakes before being renamed ahead of the 2022 edition so as not to clash with the now Group 1 Northerly Stakes (1800m) race – previously the Kingston Town Classic – which is held later during the popular Perth Summer Racing Carnival.

The race was inaugurated in 1978 as the Anniversary Cup and currently offers $200,000 in prize money.

The Eurhythmic Stakes takes place over 1400m and is a set weights plus penalties showdown.

It is now named in honour of former champion racehorse and Australian Hall of Fame inductee Eurhythmic who won a host of important races including the Caulfield Cup (1920) and Sydney Cup (1921).

The event currently takes place on the same date as Melbourne’s Caulfield Cup race in late October and gained its current Group 3 status in 2013 the year top Perth galloper Playing God won.

It was originally a staying race held over 2200m, but the distance has gradually been reduced over the years to the current 1400m so the race can serve as a lead-up to the Group 1 Perth races over the following weeks including the Group 1 Railway Stakes (1600m) held at the end of November.

The Listed Crawford Stakes (1000m) for the sprinters is the other Black-Type event on Eurythmic Stakes Day.

Massimo (2nd in 2021 and 3rd in 2022) was the last Eurhythmic Stakes graduate to back-up and win the Lee Steere Stakes on back-to-back years.

Eurhythmic Stakes nominations close the Tuesday before the race runs on the Saturday with the field and barrier draw announced on the Wednesday.
