Gold Coast Guineas Betting
Gold Coast Guineas betting markets are usually dominated by interstate-trained horses coming off good lead-up runs in class races in Sydney or Queensland over the autumn.
Three-year-olds with proven form at the 1200m distance and further sit high up the Gold Coast Guineas odds.
The favourites have a strong recent record in the event including five straight wins between 2020 and 2024 with the Peter & Paul Snowden-trained stablemates Hightail (2020) and Marboosha (2021), followed by Spirit Of Boom ($2.70 in 2022) for Robert Heathcote, Yellow Brick ($2.40 in 2023) for Toowoomba trainers Tony & Maddysen Sears, and the James Cummings-trained Godolphin galloper Corniche ($3.20 in 2024).
Gold Coast Guineas Field
The Gold Coast Guineas race field attracts a collection of the season’s best young three-year-old sprint types, many coming off lead-up runs in Sydney Autumn Racing Carnival.
Horses that contested the Gold Coast Magic Millions races during the summer often do well in the Gold Coast Guineas later in the year. For example, in 2020 the Peter & Paul Snowden-trained Hightail won the Gold Coast Guineas having run a nice third in that January’s $2 million Magic Millions 3YO Guineas. In 2023 Yellow Brick won the Gold Coast Guineas (held that year at the Sunshine Coast) first-up off a second in that season’s Magic Millions 3YO Guineas.
Bosustow (2025) was the last horse to complete the Magic Millions 3YO Guineas / Gold Coast Guineas double at the track.
In 2024 Corniche won the Gold Coast Guineas at the Sunshine Coast on the back of a fourth in the Group 2 $1 million Arrowfield 3YO Sprint (1200m) in Sydney the month before.
Gold Coast Guineas nominations close the Monday before the race with the final field and barriers out two days later on the Wednesday.

In 2023 the Gold Coast Guineas for was franked with the second placed filly, Lady Laguna, running top three in a host of tougher races including winning Sydney’s Group 1 Canterbury Stakes in March of 2024.

- Each Way: #1 Bosustow ($12 at time of publish) – BET NOW
The Neasham/Archibald stable is going great guns and they look to have a value runner lining up in the Gold Coast Guineas on Saturday with Bosustow returning to the races down under. The talented and consistent Blue Point colt was last seen finishing runner-up in open age company across the Tasman when second to Here To Shock in the Group 1 BCD Group Sprint (1400m) at Te Rapa in early February. Prior to that he was an upset Magic Millions Guineas winner here at the Gold Coast so is proven at the track. Here To Shock franked the form out of New Zealand with a Group 1 Canterbury Stakes second in March to Royal Patronage and now it is this colt’s turn to continue on with it also. Yet to win first-up but is drawn for a dream run from gate five with Josh Parr sticking in the saddle. He’s bred for success so what he lacks fitness-wise he makes up for in pedigree. Needs to be good if he’s to come from the back and win over this distance but think he’s up to the task. Each Way.
