The Magic Millions Cup field throws up an exciting proposition – an open market with several live chances. While many top contenders drew horror gates, our eyes turn to this Peter & Paul Snowden-trained Russian Revolution mare as a potential value winner over the boys. Her current form is red-hot, boasting back-to-back wins this spring/summer season. Most recently, she conquered the Group 3 Summoned Stakes over the Caulfield mile in early December. Since then, she’s enjoyed a well-timed freshen-up and drops weight from 59kg last start to a more manageable 56kg. Additionally, she’s gifted with the coveted run of the race from gate 10, with the in-form James McDonald in the saddle adding another layer of confidence. While the boys might dominate the headlines, don’t overlook this formidable mare’s potent mix of recent success, weight relief, and an advantageous draw. She’s a strong contender to consider for an upset victory in the Magic Millions Cup.
