The Star Kingdom Stakes (formerly Sebring Stakes) is a Group 3 sprint race for horses of all ages held at Rosehill Gardens in late March.

Run on Tancred Stakes Day, it offers $250,000 in prize money and competes alongside prestigious races like the Group 1 Tancred Stakes (2400m) and Vinery Stud Stakes (2000m).
This 1200m handicap race serves as a springboard for horses targeting Group 1 glory later in the autumn or the upcoming Brisbane Winter Carnival.
First contested in 1979, it gained Group 3 status in 1988 and has been won by plenty of nice types over the years.
The latest edition of the Star Kingdom Stakes ran on Saturday March 30, 2024 on Tancred Stakes Day at Rosehill and saw the Danny Williams-trained Bandi’s Boy ($15) win in a close upset.

Open and intriguing edition of the Star Kingdom with a number of good runners resuming including Zou Tiger who looks lovely value fresh at $10. The John O’Shea-trained Zoustar four-year-old is yet to win at the Rosehill track but has come close on a couple of occasions (4:0-2-1). The 1200m looks just short of his preferred distance, but he was good back in late February winning the Listed Carrington Stakes over 1400m with ease and has trialled well here in the interim.
