Week 12 of the English Premier League gets underway in London on Saturday night Australian time as strugglers Bournemouth and Newcastle meet in what could figure as a very pivotal match in the dying stages of the season.
Leicester City can take another big step towards the top of the table with success over Watford while current leaders Manchester City are offered another great opportunity to extend their run of form past the lowly Aston Villa.
We’re offering the best odds on the widest range of markets for all ten Premier League matches in Week 12 of the English Premier League!
Bournemouth vs Newcastle United
Bournemouth have fallen out of form through recent weeks and enter their week 12 with Newcastle winless in their last six matches in England’s top tier. The Cherries were a little more convincing in holding the in-form Southampton to only two goals away last week, and are offered a good opportunity for a return to winning form against the similarly-positioned Newcastle. The Magpies have been next to terrible all campaign and appear as though they will fight the relegation battle all season, and realistically have to win games like this one should they survive. With two pretty out-of-form teams, a draw is the likeliest scenario.
Glenn Murray scores and Bournemouth wins: $5.50
Aleksander Mitrovic scores and Newcastle wins: $7
West Ham United vs Everton
West Ham suffered a shock loss to Watford in Week 11 of competition, but have undoubtedly been one of the league’s shining lights this year; delivering some of the best clubs defeat away from home to sit sixth overall. Everton are probably still yet to hit full flight but have typically done enough to sit mid-table, and enter this fixture off the back of a 6-2 demolition of Sunderland. This match has the potential to be one of the more intriguing this week but the Toffees will undoubtedly have to step up if they are to beat the Hammers away from home. West Ham offer great odds in win-draw-win markets and should be considered.
Diafra Sakho scores and West Ham wins: $6
Romelu Lukaku scores and Everton wins: $6
Leicester City vs Watford
Leicester have continued their incredible start to the season and amazingly remain in the hunt for a Champions League berth; third overall and only a win off the pace of league leaders Manchester City and Arsenal. The Foxes are charged with overcoming Watford this week, who arguably produced their best performance of the season in overcoming the in-form West Ham 2-0 last weekend. In what could also play to their strengths, Watford could very well go into this match with a ‘nothing to lose’ attitude, and they can climb as high as seventh overall if they are triumphant. It is hard however to see Leicester losing at King Power Stadium.
Riyad Mahrez scores and Leicester wins: $4.50
Troy Deeney scores and Watford wins: $10
Norwich City vs Swansea City
Norwich City produced a particularly great effort against Manchester City away last weekend and were unlucky not to take anything from the performance; beaten 2-1 thanks to a very late goal from the league leaders. Swansea City have stamped themselves as a Premier League mainstay through recent seasons but probably wouldn’t be pleased with their first eleven weeks of fixtures overall; sitting 13th on only 13 competition points. Having been thoroughly played off the park by Arsenal last weekend, we’re confident the Swans will respond in the best way possible with success at good odds early Sunday morning Australian time.
Cameron Jerome scores and Norwich wins: $6
Bafetimbi Gomis scores and Swansea wins: $6
Manchester United vs West Bromwich Albion
Manchester United are both winless and scoreless in their last two Premier League matches but will have taken plenty of confidence from a mid-week win over CSKA Moscow in the Champions League. The Red Devils stay in touch with the top of the table in fourth position overall, and return to Old Trafford as clear and justified favourites to beat West Brom, who have been unable to string together much of a consistent run of form this time. The Baggies were gallant in losing 3-2 to the in-form Leicester last weekend but face a big task in United at home, and will probably be outclassed.
Wayne Rooney scores and Manchester United wins: $2.75
Saido Berahino scores and West Brom wins: $29
Sunderland vs Southampton
Sunderland produced another exceptional performance; their only of the season to comfortably see off fierce rivals Newcastle in Week 10, but clearly regressed back to the form which has seen them fail to launch off the bottom of the ladder when dismissed 6-2 at the hands of Everton last weekend. The Black Cats are clearly capable of playing well but again seem to lack spark when nothing more than three Premier League points are on offer. Southampton have returned to competition in typically smart form without setting the Premier League on fire this campaign; sitting seventh on 17 competition points. In current form, it’s hard to see any result other than a comfortable Saints win.
Jermain Defoe scores and Sunderland wins: $10
Graziano Pelle scores and Southampton wins: $3.50
Stoke City vs Chelsea
Stoke City have continued to build in form and confidence through recent weeks and it appears as though it’s only a matter of time before they start really pushing their way up the Premier League table. If they can snap their run of draws and convert a few matches into wins, they have the class to figure as legitimate European contenders. Chelsea’s horror season start has continued to go from bad to worse and the reigning champions find themselves 15th overall after 11 weeks of competition and staring down the barrel of a third-consecutive Premier League loss. One the depth of their roster alone it’s still hard to tip against Chelsea, but things don’t really look like changing.
Bojan scores and Stoke City wins: $3.60
Diego Costa scores and Chelsea wins: $4
Aston Villa vs Manchester City
Manchester City are flying high – top of the league following a great run of results and confirmed to progress to the knockout phase of the Champions League after beating Sevilla away last weekend. City boast an exceptional roster over all corners of the pitch and perhaps figure as too great a task for the lowly Villa this weekend, even in Birmingham. Kevin De Bruyne has already proven one of the signings of the season and has been instrumental in seeing the Sky Blues to the fore of the pack through recent weeks.
Jordan Ayew scores and Aston Villa wins: $21
Kevin De Bruyne scores and City wins: $4
