COX STAKES (Ascot, Race 7)

It a race in two for this one according to the punters with the Bob Peters’ pair of Real Love and Delicacy attracting all the interest.

While the less than even money price for Kingston Town runner-up, Delicacy, might be a little short for some at $1.50, one Ladbrokes customer was more than happy with the $4.80 initially put up for Real Love.

He parted ways with a cool $15,000 at that price which subsequently saw the 2nd favourite firm into $4.60.

With almost all the interest in those two runners, a host of others including Black Heart Bart ($11 – $12), Dark Musket ($17 – $18), Tower of Lonhro ($21 – $26) and Ask Me Nicely ($67 – $91) have been on the drift.

BIG BET

Real Love –  $15,000 @ $4.80

BERNBOROUGH HANDICAP (Doomben, Race 9)

The feature race in the north of the country is wide open if the action in betting is any guide and it appears anyone’s guess as to who will start favourite come race time.

The two horse which have attracted the most early interest are Hopfgarten ($5 – $4.80) and Worthy Cause ($6 – $5), while Centre Pivot ($10 – $8.50) has also had his price shortened.

Among the main drifters in the market are Shotover River ($11 – $16), Top Tone ($21 – $26) and Victory Hotel ($34 – $41)

BIG BET

Worthy Cause – $1000 @ $6

MORE THAN READY BM80 (Rosehill, Race 8)

Now out to a more desirable distance and looking ready to peak 3rd up, Thermogenic has clearly been the best backed runner in this race.

On the back of continued support, Ladbrokes bookmakers have slashed its price from $7 in to $5.

Rustic Melody ($8 – $6.50) and Diamondsinthenight ($15 – $14) have also been wound in amid some smart money.

Kontiki Dane has been easy ($5.50 – $7) as has been Rye ($6 – $7.50) while White Dove is another drifter out from $11 to $15.

BIG BET

Thermogenic  $1,000 @ $6
