Daily Sports Tips – Friday 9th September

Carolina Panthers vs Denver Broncos 10.30am AEST
Jonathan Stewart anytime touchdown @ $2.30

The first game of the NFL this morning is a rematch of last season’s Super Bowl; pegging the Carolina Panthers and Denver Broncos against one-another. The Panthers lost only one regular season game in 2015/16, but were unable to handle the pressure the grandest stage and stumbled at the final hurdle. QB Peyton Manning has retired from the Broncos and they will take some time to find their feet without him. Cam Newton and his wide receivers could run riot and backing Jonathan Stewart as an anytime touchdown scorer is worth consideration.

Caroline Wozniacki vs Angelique Kerber 11am AEST
Caroline Wozniacki to win @ $3

The unseeded Caroline Wozniacki appears to have returned to her best at the US Open and has dominated on her way to the semi-finals. She is yet to drop a set and enters her match with Angelique Kerber this morning having dropped only two points to Anastasija Savastova. Kerber has also been typically strong at the tournament, but she has had a few tough matches at Wozniacki represents exceptional value @ $3 to win.

Geelong Cats vs Hawthorn Hawks 7.50pm AEST
Geelong to win 1-39 @ $2.20

The Cats and Hawks reignite their old finals rivalry at the MCG tonight, in what is sure to be a thrilling affair. Both teams have been there or there about all season and not a lot separates their quality and potential leading into week 1. I believe Geelong will win, but in a nail biter and a winning margin of 1-30 at $2.2 is overs.

Brisbane Broncos vs Gold Coast Titans 8pm AEST
Darius to score anytime @ $2.40

The Broncos host the Titans in the first match of the NRL finals tonight. If the Broncos are a serious premiership threats they will win this game and win it well, considering they are playing a team that all but limped into the finals. Darius Boyd should be offered plenty of opportunities to get his hands on the ball in attack, and it seems as though the fullback scoring a try is more a matter of when and not if.
