I don’t mean to be Sandra SULLY (Race 7, number 6) with the late news but after my efforts in picking five winners at Moonee Valley last Friday night, it appears I AM A STAR (Race 6, number 4) tipster. The good people at Ladbrokes should count themselves lucky that I am on their PAYROLL (Race 6, number 19). This Saturday I will be heading to Derby Day with my good friend Louis, or LUCKY LOUIE (Race 2, number 4) as we call him. He’s a GOODFELLA (Race 5, number 7). He’s just come back from his overseas travels where he went to New York and stayed in HARLEM (Race 4, number 2), then went to Italy and loved it in LAKE COMO (Race 3, number 7) and said he saw Julian Assange from the balcony of the ECUADOR (Race 4, number 1) embassy when he was in London. He went on a real trip of fine SOVEREIGN NATIONs (Race 8, number 10) of the world.
It’s hard not to get TANGLED (Race 7, number 2) in the hype of the cup carnival. It really is the MAIN STAGE (Race 7, number 5) of racing. THE MISSION (Race 5, number 3) to survive the day at the track and back a few winners are NOTHING TOO HARD (Race 7, number 19) for ILLUSTRIOUS LAD’s (Race 9, number 1) like Louie and myself.
When we went to Derby Day last year, you’ll never guess who we saw, DERRYN (Race 9, number 13) Hinch. He was enjoying himself in the carpark at Flemington and came up to us and said “Hey guys, do you want an EGG TART (Race 8, number 6) ? It was a mere FORMALITY (Race 5, number 18) that we accepted his offer. We ended up spending the rest of the day and night with Hinch. After the races, we went to a pub nearby which had a JUKEBOX (Race 5, number 6). His choice in music was weird, he chooses WEATHER WITH YOU (Race 7, number 7) by Crowded House. It’s a CATCHY (Race 5, number 16) song but hardly a banger like Sandstorm by Darude.
Sometime NOW OR LATER (Race 6, number 14) we’ll be sure to thank him for the tart and the drinks he brought us, it was really kind.
