Randwick: Race 6
No. 1 Green Spaces
Each Way

GREEN SPACES (12) capped in excellent three-year-old season with a dominant win in the ATC Derby, and while he clearly needed his first run back this time when finishing nearly seven lengths behind Autumn Glow in the Winx Stakes, he improved to finish a credible six in the Chelmsford last time out.

He gets out to an appropriate trip this week, and with one eye on races like the Caulfield Cup and Melbourne Cup, he can stamp himself as a legitimate contender by winning this year’s Kingston Town Stakes.

Caulfield: Race 6
No. 3 Point Barrow

POINT BARROW (11) has been a great horse for the Freedman yard since debuting, winning half of her ten career starts and placing a further two times, while she wasn’t out of her depth in Group 1 company a couple of times in the autumn.

I thought her first run in unideal conditions in the Moir Stakes can be forgiven, and with natural improvement back into Group 3 mares’ company for the How Now Stakes, she could have a big impact this week.

3. Point Barrow (9)

Randwick: Race 7
No. 3 Striking Alibi

STRIKING ALIBI (5) made only two appearances at the races during her debut prep in Perth, stamping herself as one to follow with a dominant win over 1000m at Ascot most notably, while she debuted for the Waller stable with a fine performance to fill the minors in the Furious Stakes a fortnight ago.

She was less than a length behind the winner that day, keeping her best work for late in the contest, and with natural improvement and a rise in trip this week for the Tea Rose Stakes, she rates highly.

Caulfield: Race 8
No. 14 Zahrann

ZAHRANN (7) kicked off his career over in Ireland and the UK, picking off some nice races and finding form around some of the world’s best stayers.

While yet to win in three appearances since arriving in Australia, he returned to action in the Heatherlie Stakes last month and worked home well to finish fourth, beaten a little over a length and a half.

With natural improvement, getting out in trip and dropping in the weights, he looks to get plenty of ticks this time in the Naturalism Stakes 2026.
