Los Angeles will host the UFC this weekend with a headline rematch at flyweight between Joshua Van and Alexandre Pantoja.
We were robbed of this battle when the two first met in December 2025 with an arm injury to former champion Pantoja but the rematch is just as tantalising eight months later.
It may be the only title fight on the night but this is a card stacked with talent and I have offered all my predictions and betting plays below.
It was an unfortunate finish when these two flyweight’s fought for the title at the end of 2025 when Alexandre Pantoja dislocated his elbow in the very first round.
The recovery has gone well and just eight months after the injury Pantoja will get his chance to claim back UFC gold on Sunday.
Both fighters have had winning streaks in the UFC but Pantoja defended his belt four times before his injury.
The 34 year old has wins over Brandon Moreno, Steve Erceg, Kai Asakura and Kai-Kara France in title fights but this is a big ask to come back and beat such a well rounded fighter in my opinion.
He’s more than capable but I’m expecting the younger Joshua Van to score points with his combination punching and distance control.
Armen Tsarukyan has had a lot of success in the UFC thanks to his ability to control large part of fights with his wrestling prowess.
His five fight win streak has been spread out over a number of years and he has come under huge scrutiny for demanding a title fight despite not being active enough.
Mauricio Ruffy has just one loss to his UFC resume and a lot of highlight knockout wins which includes two spinning wheel kick finishes.
This is a classic wrestler vs striker co main event but the key is that it will happen across five rounds.
This gives plenty of time for Ruffy to land that one shot that he needs and that is where the value lies.
South Korean Doo Ho-choi looked great when returning from 18 months on the sidelines when he beat Daniel Santos in Las Vegas just three months ago.
That was the 17th win in his 22 fight pro MMA career and his third in a row.
But he faces a two division Bellator champion who is facing the biggest fight of his career.
Patricio Pitbull’s UFC career has not gone to plan with two losses from his three fights but he is a very well rounded mixed martial artist with a fair bit to prove.
And I think the odds makers have got this one wrong.
