Hurricane Fighter has performed well in his two race starts to date and he chased home Prince Of Caviar at Bendigo last start. The wide barrier draw shouldn’t be an issue as he will press forward and has the early speed to take up the running. If he finds the front, he will prove tough to run down in the concluding stages.
Earth Angel was placed in the Laelia Stakes, Auraria Stakes and South Australian Fillies Classic as a three-year-old and there is no doubt that she is the class mare in this field. She will be better over further, but she has performed well over shorter trips in the past and class should take her a long way in this contest.
Folkswood’s performance in the Naturalism Stakes was too bad to be true and his best form is significantly better than that. I am happy to give him another shot at nice odds.
Tamasa was finally able to return to winning form at Geelong last start and it wouldn’t surprise if he was now able to string a few wins together. The wide barrier draw isn’t ideal, but he does have the benefit of John Allen in the saddle and he has more upside than the rest of this field.
