BenchMark 70 Handicap (1200m) - Race 1 12:57pm

The winning combination of trainer Tony Gollan and jockey Brad Stewart will team up again with last start Ipswich winner Unlikely Story and the four year old will be hard to beat again in the first at Doomben on Saturday. Catalina Miss has strung together two wins at the Gold Coast and over the same course and distance as Saturday’s event and can figure in the prizemoney again. Spirit Of Fire has each way claims again and Desert Man needs luck from a wide gate.

BenchMark 90 Handicap (2000m) - Race 2 1:32pm

Estikhraaj is one of two Chris Waller trained gallopers in the 2000m BenchMark 90 Handicap and gets his chance to find the winner’s stall again after a second over 2200m at Doomben last start. Estikhraaj is a winner over the same course and similar distance two starts back. Stablemate Jaminzah can find a place amongst the minor prizemoney while Stanley and Magnufighter have good form in similar company.

0MW Handicap L2Y (1600m) - Race 3 2:12pm

The cream of the country gallopers will line up in the 0MW Handicap over 1600m and it will be interesting to see how all the country form lines up. Eschiele is a last start winner on his home track at Charleville and has to be considered as one of the main chances. No runner could be more consistent than Rocky galloper Green Empire who has been placed at his last five starts from Rockhampton to Roma. The Greatest also has fair North Queensland form and Jeff Lloyd will be a huge asset for the Miles trained gelding Still The Same.

BenchMark 85 Handicap (1200m) - Race 4 2:48pm

Looks Like Elvis was a dual acceptor for Doomben on Saturday and will run in the BenchMark 85 Handicap after trainer Bryan Dais scratched him from the George Moore Stakes. We will follow the trainers lead and put Looks Like Elvis on top. The well performed Natch is resuming and hasn’t missed a place from his last eight starts, which includes four wins and has strong claims here first up. Apoloboom has been around the minor money of late and Motion Granted comes back to town after winning at long odds at the Gold Coast.

Sizzling Plate (1050m) - Race 5 3:28pm

Betaima has the most experience of the two year olds in the Sizzling Plate and with Jeff Lloyd in the saddle looks hard to beat. The Tony Gollan trained Country Cocktail was a beaten short priced favourite on debut but has won a barrier trial since and her followers will get a chance to get their money back. Sydney youngster Eleven Eleven is making his debut but is a winner of both of his recent barrier trials at Warwick Farm and Canterbury. It would pay to follow the race day betting with so many first starters in the field.

Winning Rupert Plate (1200m) - Race 6 4:08pm

Unbeaten three year old Zoustyle is the standout here and has been installed at the unbackable odds of $1.28 with Ladbrokes.com.au and the obvious one to beat. Boomsara will be fitter for one run back from a spell when fourth to Zoustyle while The Fire Trap and Magic Fox look likely to fight out the minor placings.

Mode Stakes (1200m) - Race 7 4:50pm

Outback Barbie competed in much tougher company than this during the 2018 Sydney Spring Carnival and is the one to beat back on home turf. Gold Coast filly Sugar Sizzle has been racing well and is sure to produce another top effort. The Chris Waller trained Voila was only beaten half a length last start when sixth in the Group 3 Roses Stakes down the Flemington straight and looks well placed here while Malahide looks to have plenty of ability with two wins from two starts in June.

George Moore Stakes (1200m) - Race 8 5:25pm

Brisbane’s leading trainer Tony Gollan has two of the top chances in the George Moore Stakes, Most Important and I’m A Rippa. Most Important is climbing up in the weights but did carry 6okg to victory first up in the Keith Noud Stakes over 1200m a fortnight ago. I’m A Rippa will strip fitter for his first up third to Most Important and gets his chance to reverse the placings. Victorem split the Gollan pair in the Keith Noud Stakes and will be thereabouts again. Care To Think raced against Group 1 company during the winter and has won first up in the past and Tyzone always runs an honest race.

Class 6 Plate (1350m) - Race 9 6:00pm

Chris Waller has a strong hand in the last with Fortensky and Impasse and it is hard to spilt them. Jeff Lloyd will give Forensky the run of the race from barrier two while Michael McNab will have to be at the top of his game after Impasse drew barrier twelve in the original draw. Snitch is racing in outstanding form with wins from his last four starts and Oink hardly ever runs a bad race.
