Dreamy Belle has generally raced in stronger company than this and she is a mare that has produced her best form over short course sprints. Her barrier trial at Newcastle ahead of her return to the races was excellent and if she bring that sort of form to the races she will prove tough to hold out in this contest.
Stock Up started her campaign with two impressive wins at Hawkesbury and Newcastle and she wasn’t disgraced last start at Rosehill Gardens. This is a drop in class and there is no reason that she can’t return to winning form. She maps to get a lovely run just behind the speed and has the turn-of-foot to finish over the top of her rivals.
Polar Blast has recorded three wins from as many starts since he was sent to North Queensland and his last start victory at Cairns was particularly impressive. This race is tougher again, but he has clearly acclimatized to his new environment and trainer Janel Ryan has done an excellent job with him. He can make it four wins in a row.
Imanui is another horse that has impressed since being sent to North Queensland. He found the line strongly to win at Townsville a couple of starts ago and he had no luck in running when he was narrowly denied last start. The gate is a touch tricky, but on exposed form he should prove too strong for the rest of this field.
