Mclaren looks the horse to beat in this Group 3 event for the two year olds. He is unbeaten in three trials including two this time in. He looks to have plenty of class and can get the day off to a good start.

I thought Avon River chased home a pretty good one in Accession last start at Rosehill and was not beaten far. She has the advantage of a good barrier with Kerrin McEvoy steering and she has race fitness on her side.

Ljungberg was defeated as a short priced favourite at Rosehill however he looks very well placed in this race. He meets the winner of that race, Vegadaze, 2.5 kgs better at the weights and he gives every impression that he will be better over further and he gets that here. Inside barrier will only help.

Kool Vinnie has been consistent at this level and appeals at his current quote. He chased home All Too Royal at Rosehill with the big weight two weeks ago and gets a claim with Dolan aboard from a good gate.
Thy Kingdom Come was run over late at Randwick however the step back in distance should be the key to his success here. Mcdonald can be aggressive on him from the good barrier and he will be very tough to run down.
Super Star Bob looks well over the odds in this. The step back down to 1400m will suit and he can run a cheeky race.

Alizee was enormous first up at Randwick and she can take big strides forward to becoming a genuine star of the turf by taking this Group 2 event out. She looks a much bigger and mature mare now and she has race fitness on her side. Will be tough to beat with even luck.
Hartnell raced extremely consistently last preparation and races well fresh. I thought the $11 was over the odds.

Girl Tuesday is unbeaten at the races and she looks to have a fair amount of class. She won all four of her races in her first prep from distances from 1400-1800m. She looked very green in a couple of those wins and if she has matured over her time away from the track, she should prove better than this grade.

Island Missile has been racing well without winning but he impressed when stepping up in grade last start at Randwick. Brett Prebble rides for the Snowden camp and he can break through for a well deserved victory in this.

I thought Paret was impressive first up when he chased home Bon Amis and he will appreciate the step up in distance. He has a good second up record and has drawn well in barrier five. He looks a good bet in the last.
