I thought that Rotator did a very good job when narrowly beaten first-up in the Widden Stakes. She had only barrier trialed the week coming up to that run and I thought that she paraded a touch big. She was pretty green in that race as well and she got a little bit lost up the straight. Hopefully she will be a little bit fitter and a little bit more street wise and she will improve from that run at Rosehill. There looks to be good speed in the race and I think that she’ll give you a great sight.
I am hoping that the bookmakers do take a set against Brutal and he gets out to evens or a little bit better. He was scratched from Warwick Farm last week and he subsequently had a barrier trial at Rosehill through the week and his sectional trials through that week were outstanding. I think that against the older horses he will be very hard to beat.
I know that she is up a little bit in class and she is taking on some very classy horses like I Am Excited and Invincible Gem, but in the last few years this race has been dominated by horses down on the limit and Sweet Scandal really does appeal. She maps to get a lovely run in transit, she will be right up on the speed and she has no weight on her back. She has had a month between runs, but she had a nice barrier trial in between and I think that she will give you a great sight.
