Daily Racing Tips – Blue Diamond Stakes Day Special

Caulfield - Race 2 1:10pm AEDT
No. 1 Aramayo

Aramayo hasn’t been far away against some of the best three-year-olds in the country and he is very well-placed on the Autumn Classic. He found the line nicely in the Autumn Stakes and the step-up to 1800 metres will definitely suit. Godolphin are absolutely flying at the moment and Aramayo can start a big day for them.

Caulfield - Race 6 3.30pm AEDT
No. 11 Alizee
Tip of the Day

Alizee is absolutely flying this campaign and there is an argument to be made that she is the second best horse in the country at the moment. Her win in the Expressway Stakes was effortless and she should only benefit from the step-up to 1400 metres. She will get back from the wide barrier draw, but she is more than capable of finishing over the top of her rivals.

Caulfield - Race 7 4:10pm AEDT
No. 7 Lyre

Lyre ran the fastest closing sectionals in the Blue Diamond Fillies Prelude and she still ran a faster overall time than the other Prelude winner I Am Immortal. Her last 1000 metres was the fourth quickest of the entire meeting and the Lonhro filly still has the upside to improve. She maps to get a lovely run in transit from barrier five and she should have every possible chance.

Caulfield - Race 9 5.30pm AEDT
No. 8 Avilius

Avilius has been nothing short of outstanding since he arrived in Australia and he is clearly the horse to beat in the Peter Young Stakes. His first-up victory in the Carlyon Cup could hardly have been more impressive and the step-up to 1800 metres is ideal. He will need a touch of luck from the inside barrier draw, but he still justifies his short quote.
