Rosehill Gardens - Race 5 3.50pm AEDT

No. 1 Call Me Royal

Call Me Royal has recorded two wins on the trot in impressive fashion and she is a filly that clearly has plenty of upside. She has drawn wide, but she does have a great deal of early speed and Josh Parr should be able to take her straight to the front. If she can keep on improving, there is no reason that she can’t make it three wins on the trot.

Launceston - Race 8 5:05pm AEDT

No. 1 Fabrizio

It has been a long time between race wins for Fabrizio, but there should still not be as big a gap between his price and that of Etymology in the Launceston Cup. He has finished in the placings in the Gosford Gold Cup, Australia Day Cup and Torney Night Cup and there is no fitter horse in this field. He makes his own luck right on the speed and he will prove very tough to run down.

Launceston - Race 9 5.40pm AEDT

No. 1 Life On The Wire

Life On The Wire returned to the races with an typically tough victory in the Bow Mistress at Hobart last start and she is an extremely likeable mare. Jason Maskiell will take her straight to the front in the early stages of the Vamos Stakes and she will prove very tough to run down. There is no reason she can’t continue her winning ways.

Ladbrokes Park - Race 7 7:00pm AEDT

No. 4 Gold Mag

Gold Mag has been a frustrating horse for punters during his current racing campaign, but I am willing to give him another opportunity in this race this afternoon. He does have form around the likes of Tin Hat and Brave Tango this campaign and he should now be at peak fitness third-up. The wide barrier draw means that he will get a long way back, but he does have the turn-of-foot to finish over the top of his rivals.
