Daily Racing Tips – Moir Stakes Night Special

The Valley - Race 2 7:00pm AEST

No. 1 Power Scheme

Power Scheme is clearly the horse to beat in what is not the strongest edition of the Stutt Stakes. He showed a nice turn-of-foot to win first-up at The Valley and he looked as though he would take good benefit from that run. He maps to get a lovely run in transit with Mark Zahra in the saddle and will be tough to hold-out late.

The Valley - Race 4 8:00pm AEST

No. 3 Humma Humma

This is an open edition of the Ladbrokes 55 Second Challenge and Humma Humma is over the odds at his current price of $7. She has recorded two wins from her three first-up starts and she is unbeaten over 1000 metres. There is no doubt that she will need some luck in running, but she has the talent to overcome her wide barrier draw.

The Valley - Race 6 9:00pm AEST

No. 1 Yucatan

Yucatan is the class horse in the Ladbrokes JRA Cup field. He loomed like a contender in the Makybe Diva Stakes before he died on his run late and he should take good improvement from that performance. I expect Ben Melham to allow him to roll along early and it will take a smart stayer to get past him.

The Valley - Race 7 9:30pm AEST

No. 11 Sunlight

Sunlight won the Newmarket Handicap and the William Reid Stakes in the Autumn, but she is still underrated by the market. She raced a touch flat in the Concorde Stakes, but she always improves second-up and she is three from three at this stage of her campaign. She will be able to sit behind the hot speed and will have an excellent chance to finish over the top of her rivals.
