No. 3 Gem Song

Gem Song may be a short-priced favourite in the Shannon Stakes, but he is clearly the horse to beat. He found the line strongly behind Arcadia Queen first-up in the Theo Marks Stakes and there is no horse of that quality in this field. Gem Song can earn an Epsom Handicap berth with a Shannon Stakes win.

No. 5 Enticing Star

If Enticing Star is going to be a genuine chance in The Everest, she really should prove too strong for her rivals in the Golden Pendant. She has recorded eight wins from her ten race starts and she wasn’t beaten far in the Winterbottom Stakes in Perth during the Summer. Her two barrier trials have been excellent and Chris Waller seems to keen to give her a fairly soft kill first-up.

Rosehill Gardens - Race 6 3:25pm AEST

No. 1 Stampede

Stampede is on the quick back-up after he finished second behind Finche in the Kingston Town Stakes at Royal Randwick last weekend and there is no horse of that quality in this field. He should be able to find the front fairly comfortably from the wide barrier draw and he will give his rivals something to catch. The $7 currently available is over the odds.

Rosehill Gardens - Race 7 4:05pm AEST

No. 2 Bivouac

Bivouac had excuses when he was beaten on a heavy track in the San Domenico Stakes and he returned to his brilliant best with an excellent win in The Run To The Rose. The step-up to 1400 metres looks ideal for him and he will get a lovely run in transit just behind the leading pair. He can deliver Godolphin their third Golden Rose Stakes win in five years.
