NRL Preliminary Final Betting Review

PUNTER’S PAL
Both favourites were victorious at the weekend with the Roosters, despite a dour second half, able to cover the betting handicap of 4.5 points.
Whilst there was good early money for the Storm, by kick-off punters had well and truly settled with the tri-colours.
Canberra was the better backed of the two teams on Friday night but the Raiders inability to cover the 7.5 point handicap sees the Roosters take the title of Punter’s Pal for this week.
BOOKIE’S BEST
There wasn’t much to smile about for bookmakers at the weekend. With only the two games, there’s no opportunity to claw back.
FIRST TRY FILL UP
First try punters got off to a good start with Jarrod Croker well found as always at $12 and whilst Boyd Cordner caused a boilover on Saturday night, one punter was celebrating after having an even $100 on the Roosters’ captain at the odds boosted price of $28.
LEGENDARY LAND
One punter kept it simple with his Same Game Multi on Friday night, selecting just the two legs of Jarrod Croker first Raiders try into Dane Gagai first Rabbitohs try at $26.
His $50 wager returning a handy $1500.
BACKING THE FUTURE
The Roosters have gone up a 7.5 point, $1.40 favourite. The Raiders are $3 with the total points market a relatively low 33.5 points.
