Cranbourne - Race 1 12:30pm AEST

No. 2 Mr Deadline

Mr Deadline finished a more than credible fourth behind Barcali at The Valley last start and this is a genuine drop in quality. If he is able to maintain that level of performance he will prove very tough to beat. On exposed form he does have a class edge over the rest of this field and he is a good bet to return to winning form.

Cranbourne - Race 2 1:00pm AEST

No. 4 Call Me Shamus

Call Me Shamus is a better horse than his current record does suggest and this does look like the right race for him. He has form around some talented gallopers and there really isn’t a huge amount of quality in this contest. He may never have a better chance to record a maiden race win.

Cranbourne - Race 8 4:35pm AEST

No. 5 William Thomas

William Thomas has an excellent record and he looked to have gone to another level when he recorded a dominant win at Caulfield last start. This race is tougher, but he still has plenty of upside and he maps to get a lovely run in transit. He is the horse to beat in the Apache Cat Classic.

Cranbourne - Race 9 5:10pm AEST

No. 4 Looks Like Elvis

Looks Like Elvis strung together a number of wins on the trot in Queensland and he stepped up to Group 1 level for the first time with a more than credible sixth place finish in the Turnbull Stakes at Flemington last Saturday. He maps to get a lovely run in transit and the $8.50 currently available is well and truly over the odds.
