Ballarat - Race 2 2:00pm AEDT

No. 6 The Stylist

The Stylist showed ability without winning during her maiden racing campaign and she finished that preparation with a third place finish behind Fidelia at Flemington. This is a genuine drop in quality from that race and she should have no issues taking up the running in what is far from the strongest race.

Ballarat - Race 4 3:00pm AEDT

No. 7 It’s Kind Of Magic

It’s Kind Of Magic finished second behind Night Express at Swan Hill on debut and the form coming out of that race has been strong. She should have taken good improvement from that performance and this race really is no tougher. She will settle in the second half of the field, but she will be flying home late.

Ballarat - Race 6 4:00pm AEDT

No. 8 Heka Express

Heka Express has raced fairly in stronger company than this during her Spring campaign and this is a genuine drop in quality. I like the fact that Team Corstens have kept her at 1000 metres for this contest and on exposed form she does have an edge over the rest of this field. The fact that Campbell Rawiller is in the saddle is a positive.

Ballarat - Race 7 4:30pm AEDT

No. 7 Diamond Bliss

Diamond Bliss has only recorded one race win from her eight starts, but she is a better mare than her record suggests. There was plenty to like about the way that she found the line at Ballarat last start and this race is no tougher. Barrier two is ideal and she has the benefit of the in-form Damian Lane in the saddle.
