The Valley - Race 3 7:30pm AEDT

No. 4 Sovereign Award

Sovereign Award should be in every multi taken at The Valley on Friday night. This is a big drop in class from her last start at Flemington on Kennedy Oaks Day and on her best form she does look to have an edge over the rest of this field. She has the early speed to go forward and Craig Williams should be able to control the race. The Shamus Award mare looks like the best bet of the night.

The Valley - Race 5 8:30pm AEDT

No. 4 Bold Star

Bold Star is well-placed to make a winning return to the races in the Ladbrokes 55 Second Challenge. He has recorded two wins from his three race starts over 1000 metres and he has produced a couple of high-rating performances in Adelaide. Barrier three is ideal and he will have every possible chance in the run.

Ladbrokes Park - Race 7 9:30pm AEDT

No. 7 Dane Clipper

Dane Clipper was a good thing beaten at The Valley after being very well-backed last Friday and she is worthy of another opportunity in this contest. She is a filly that still has a fair amount of upside and she will get a lovely run in transit from barrier five. The $6 currently available is well and truly over the odds.

The Valley - Race 8 10:00pm AEDT

No. 12 Arctic Shock

Arctic Shock is another horse that will drop in class for this contest and she has an excellent chance to return to winning form. She was far from disgraced in what was a strong race at Flemington on Kennedy Oaks Day and she chased home the talented Extreme Pride on Caulfield Cup Day. The step-up in trip suits and this is her opportunity to return to winning form.
