Race 1 - 6:30pm

Antler Luggage Plate (1200m)

Hot In Paris is well and truly over the odds at her current quote of $12. She found the line nicely when she finished second behind Ms Catherine at Bendigo last start and she ran the fastest closing sectionals of the entire meeting. Barrier four is ideal for her and she will be flying home in the concluding stages.

Race 2 - 7:00pm

Presidents Cup Handicap (1200m)

There is no reason that Wild Choice can’t make a winning return to the races. He produced a couple of high-rating performances during his maiden racing campaign and The Valley looks ideal for him as he makes his own luck right on the speed. Michael Walker will take him straight to the front and he will give his rivals something to chase.

Race 3 - 7:30pm

Ladbrokes Back Yourself Handicap (1600m)

Kardashing returned to winning form at Ladbrokes Park last start and this race is no tougher. She has always raced well at The Valley and Michael Poy should have no issues taking her to the lead in the early stages of this contest. There is no reason that she can’t make it two wins on the trot.

Race 4 - 8:00pm

Enjoy Retirement Greg Miller Handicap (1600m)

Bowing is deserving of his status as a short-priced favourite. He has recorded two wins from his past three race starts and there was plenty to like about the way that he found the line at Bendigo last start. Barrier five is ideal and he should have every possible chance in the run with Jessica Eaton in the saddle.

Race 5 - 8:30pm

Ladbrokes 55 Second Challenge Heat 8 (955m)

This is a very competitive edition of the Ladbrokes 55 Second Challenge. Miss Street has performed well in her two race starts this campaign and she is well-placed to return to winning form in this contest. She has an excellent record over these short course sprints and she should be able to find the lead in the early stages of this contest. The $4.80 currently available is well and truly over the odds.

Race 6 - 9:00pm

VICSES Barry Plant Handicap (1200m)

This is one of the most open betting races of the day and it is tough to bet into this contest with any real confidence. Goldifox has only recorded the one race win, but she wasn’t disgraced in races like The Vanity, the Kewney Stakes and the Laelia Stakes during her three-year-old campaign. If she brings that sort of form to the races, she will be right in the mix.

1.5 Units Goldifox

Race 7 - 9:30pm

Dynamic Print Ground Handicap (1200m)

Thunderdome is another horse that doesn’t have a great overall record, but he does find himself in a winnable contest at The Valley. He has drawn wide, but he does have early speed and jockey Lachlan King will be able to ride him aggressively in the early stages of this contest. This is his chance to return to winning form.

Race 8 - 10:00pm

Thank You SES Volunteers Handicap (2040m)

Longclaw returned to the races with a very classy win at Pakenham last start and he ran all the fastest closing sectionals of the race. He generally does take a step forward second-up and if he does that he will go to a level that will make him very tough to beat. Barrier four is ideal and Michael Poy rides The Valley well.
