This is a genuine drop in quality for Hot In Paris and she has an excellent chance to record a maiden race win in this contest. She was able to finish in the placings at The Valley last start and a repeat of that effort should be more than good enough to win a race of this quality.
Bet Red has finished second in his two race starts to date and he is another galloper that is well-placed to record a maiden race win this afternoon. He showed a lovely turn-of-foot to finish second at Werribee on debut and he had excuses when he was beaten at Yarra Valley last start. On exposed form, he has a clear edge over the rest of this field.
It has been a long time between race wins for Il Divo and he may never have a better chance to get another race win on the board. He found the line very strongly last start and this race is no tougher. Jordan Childs is riding with plenty of competitive and can steer him to victory.
Via Capo doesn’t win out of turn, but this does look like a nice race for him. He finished a credible second at Bendigo last start and the form coming out of that race has been strong. Damien Oliver in the saddle is a big positive and he will be able to ride the Street Boss gelding aggressively in the early stages of the race.
