Scone - Race 3 2:55pm AEST

No. 7 Take To Heart

The scratchings have taken plenty of the quality out of this race and has left Take To Heart as clearly the horse to beat. She missed the start and got a long way back at Taree last start, which probably cost her the race. This field really isn’t that much tougher and on her best form she does have an edge over her rivals.

No. 5 Roy's Command

Roy’s Command doesn’t win out of turn, but he finds himself in a very winnable contest at Scone this afternoon. He hasn’t really produced a poor effort this campaign and this race isn’t any tougher. Luke Rolls can take him straight to the front in the early stages of this contest and he will give his rivals something to catch.

Scone - Race 5 4:10pm AEDT

No. 5 Head Spins

It has been a while between race starts for Head Spins and he will need some luck in running from the wide barrier draw, but there is no doubt that he has more upside than any other horse in this field. The Dream Ahead gelding could not have been more impressive when he won on debut at Newcastle and a repeat of that sort of effort would make him far too strong for the rest of this field.

No. 3 Perfect Peace

Perfect Peace has recorded two wins from her three race starts and there is no reason that she can’t make a winning return to the races at Scone this afternoon. She showed good ability during her maiden racing campaign and the Mossman filly still has the scope to improve on that performance. It would not surprise if she starts at a shorter price than her current quote.
