Gold Coast - Race 7 3:17pm AEST

No. 3 Warset

Warset doesn’t win out of turn, but he finds himself in a winnable contest at the Gold Coast this afternoon.

His victory at the Sunshine Coast a couple of starts ago was fully of merit and the drop back in trip from 2200 metres to 1800 metres is ideal for him.

This is far from the strongest field and this is his chance to return to winning form.

Gold Coast - Race 8 3:57pm AEST

No. 6 Fisticuffs

Fisticuffs is deserving of his status as a clear favourite for this contest at the Gold Coast this afternoon.

He was only narrowly denied by Oriental Runner at the Gold Coast last start and there is no horse of that quality in this field.

He will settle in the second half of the field from the wide barrier draw, but he has the turn-of-foot to finish over the top of his rivals late.

Geelong - Race 5 2:30pm AEST

No. 10 Cernan

Trainer Peter Moody is very confident about the chances of Cernan in this contest and it is easy to see why.

He has been racing well without winning this campaign and he goes into this contest on the back of a second place finish behind Pelonomena at Ladbrokes Park Sandown last start.

Barrier five is ideal and he will have every possible chance with Luke Nolen in the saddle.

Geelong - Race 9 5:30pm AEST

No. 5 Euphorique

Euphorique is well-placed to make a winning return to the races this afternoon.

He should take good improvement from this run and will be better over further, but I think class will take him a long way in what is far from the strongest race.

I think that he will end up in stronger races than this one and is great value at the current quote.
