Wednesday’s metropolitan meet in Victoria will be held at Ladbrokes Park and eight talent-rich races will be contested.
The rail will be set out eight metres around the entire course and the Ladbrokes Park track looks set to be rated in the soft to heavy range.
This is a tough way to begin the program and at publish, we’re faced with $5 the field.
Zesty Belle is one of a couple of horses who have opened at the quote and does look to have good upside.
The Ellerton & Zahra-trained filly resumed from a break to finish third behind the likes of Standoff down the straight at Flemington and this does look something of a drop in class from that race.

Flirting will take winning form into this race and looks up to making it two in a row.
The Medaglia D’oro filly has been a model of consistency for Anthony Freedman through nine career starts and while it did take her a few to break her maiden, she ran home well to salute at Morphettville last time out
This is harder, but she’ll enjoy further improvement and can continue her rise through the grades.

Tooradin has raced well on a rain-affected track previously and strikes a very winnable race at Ladbrokes Park on Wednesday.
The Ciaron Maher & David Eustace-trained gelding has recorded two wins and a placing from only six career starts so far and has been freshened since returning a credible effort to finish fifth in a tougher race at Flemington.
The drop back to a mile should suit and the booking of John Allen to ride is positive.

Key To The Mak has returned to the races in superb fashion this time and looks the horse to beat in Race 4 at Ladbrokes Park.
The five-year-old daughter of Makfi has missed a placing only twice in nine career starts so far and was last seen beating a BM64 field at Wangaratta by close to three lengths.
This is a rise in class and there is no doubt she’ll need to be at her best, but she’s drawn well, will be ridden by Damien Oliver and I can’t find a reason why she won’t be in the finish.

Bartholomeu Dias will take good improvement into his second campaign start at Ladbrokes Park on Wednesday and is ready to win.
The Mount Nelson gelding returned some good efforts in the UK prior to transferring to the care of Maher & Eustace, and put the writing on the wall with an impressive first-up effort that saw him finish within a length of All Too Huiying and Sikorsky at Caulfield.
Craig Williams takes the ride and the horse will take a power of beating.

Stellar Impact hasn’t run a bad race in a long time and looks up to winning the sixth at Ladbrokes Park on Wednesday.
The Deep Impact mare resumed this time to finish a close-up second behind Navy Cross at Canterbury, winning at Cranbourne when arriving in Victoria before another smart effort to finish second in BM78 company at Mornington.
Getting out to a mile and a half looks ideal at this point of her prep and Craig Williams has options from the rails draw.

Pinyin ran home well to fill the minors at Flemington when resuming and is up to winning this 1000m dash.
The Wanted mare was a strong and consistent performer in decent races for the Jim Conlan stable last time in and mustered an eye-catching turn of foot to finish only half a length from the winner when fresh.
She hasn’t finished worse than second at this point of her prep previously and will get a relief in the weights with Will Price’s claim.

This looks like being one of the better races on Wednesday’s Ladbrokes Park card and there is a case to be made for more than half the field.
Bacchus hasn’t been seen at the races since February, but he has typically stepped out in decent races and looms as a live each-way chance ($8 at publish).
The Pierro gelding broke his maiden here in January and continued his rise through the grades with a lovely win over a mile at The Valley.
Craig Williams knows him well and he needs only even luck in running from the wide draw to be in the finish.
