There was plenty of excitement in the first week of the Super Rugby Australia season and our 2020 Super Rugby Round 2 tips are now available.
Brookvale Oval, of all places, will host Friday’s clash between the Rebels and the Reds, while the Force will return to Super Rugby action when they take on the Waratahs on Saturday night.
We have analysed both games set to take place and our complete 2020 Super Rugby Australia round 2 tips can be found below.
RebelsvsReds
Friday 10 July, 7:05pm, Brookvale Oval
I never thought I would see Brookvale Oval play host to a clash between the Rebels and the Reds, but here we are!
This really is a tricky clash to analyse from a betting perspective.
The Rebels weren’t disgraced against the Brumbies last weekend and they will go into this clash as narrow favourites.
They have won both of their games, as well as covered the line, in two of their three games as favourites this season and they are 5-3 against the Reds as favourites.
The Reds were finally able to record another win over the Waratahs and this young outfit will take plenty of confidence from that performance.
Winning away from Suncorp Stadium has been an issue for the Reds, as has been stringing together positive performances, so the pressure is on them to back-up that positive effort.
I think that this is a game that the market has just about right, but there is value to be found in the Total Points market.
The Over has saluted in ten of the past 13 games played between these two sides and backing the Over in games involving either of these sides over the past 12 months has proven to be a profitable betting play.

WaratahsvsWestern Force
Saturday 11 July, 7:15pm, SCG
The Western Force are back!
The Force will play their first Super Rugby fixture since 2017, when they were infamously kicked out of the competition, and it really would not surprise to see them give the Super Rugby Australia competition a serious shake.
Coach Tim Sampson has built a strong squad and they were successful in both the National Rugby Championship and the Global Rapid Rugby event this season.
They will obviously go into this clash with the Waratahs as clear favourites, but I am confident that they have more upside than the current market suggests.
It has already been a season to forget for the Waratahs.
They have won only one game in 2020 and they suffered their first loss at the hands of the Reds in several season last weekend.
It is impossible to have any faith in the Waratahs from a betting perspective and there continues to be plenty of value taking them on.
