We have reached the final round of the Super Rugby Aotearoa season.

The Crusaders will finish on top of the ladder, as expected, but there is only one point seperating the Blues and the Hurricanes in second position and that will be decided this weekend.

We have analysed both games set to take place and our complete 2020 Super Rugby Aotearoa round 10 tips can be found below.

Highlanders Vs Hurricanes

Saturday 15 August, 5:05pm, Forsyth Barr Stadium

The Hurricanes are the form team in Super Rugby Aotearoa and they now look set to finish the competition in second position.

They bounced back from their poor start to the season to claim five wins on the trot, which included a stunning upset win over the Crusaders.

The Hurricanes have now won five of their past six games as favourites and winning on the road has not been an issue, while they have won six of their past seven games against the Highlanders.

The Highlanders have been fairly disappointing during Super Rugby Aotearoa and they have won only one of their past six games.

They have not been disgraced in any of their defeats and they have covered the line in six of their past ten games as underdogs.

I think that the Hurricanes should have too much quality for the Highlanders and they can cover the line of 4.5 points comfortably.

Blues Vs Crusaders

Sunday 16 August, 1:35pm, Eden Park

This is a fitting way to finish the Super Rugby Aotearoa season and we should be treated to an outstanding game of rugby.

It is a sign of the improvement of the Blues this season that they will go into this clash as narrow favourites.

The Blues have played some excellent rugby in recent weeks, but I still can’t get them as short as their current quote.

They have not beaten the Crusaders since 2014 and the Crusaders have accounted for them comfortably this season.

The Crusaders have lost only one game during Super Rugby Aotearoa and I am always wary to bet against them.

They have been a point scoring juggernaut during Super Rugby Aotearoa and they should have too much offensive firepower for the Blues.

Even though they already have the title secured, the Crusaders will still be keen to finish Super Rugby Aotearoa with a win and they are great value to do exactly that.
