Sale - Race 3 2:00pm AEST

No. 9 Silk Jacket

Silk Jacket may never have a better chance to record a maiden race win.

She returned to the races with a credible performance at Murtoa and she should take a good effort from that effort.

This really isn’t the strongest race and she will have every possible opportunity to get the job done.

Sale - Race 6 3:30pm AEST

No. 3 Unfair Dismissal

Unfair Dismissal doesn’t win out of turn, but he finds himself in a winnable contest at Sale this afternoon.

He finished third behind Firstclass Dreamer at Ladbrokes Park Sandown last start and this race is a genuine drop in quality.

The All Too Hard gelding is arguably racing in career best form and there is no doubt that he has been well-backed in early betting.

Newcastle - Race 5 3:05pm AEST

No. 2 Morethannumberone

Morethannumberone is a much better horse than his current record suggests and he is well and truly over the odds at the current quote of $12.

The More Than Ready entire has generally raced in stronger company than this and his barrier trial ahead of his return to the races was excellent.

I would be locking in the $12 as early as possible as I am confident that he will be well-backed.

Newcastle - Race 7 4:15pm AEST

No. 4 Blazing Sunrise

Blazing Sunrise has been racing well without winning and he has a great chance to return to winning form at Newcastle this afternoon.

He is ready to peak third-up after a couple of second place finishes and he has the benefit of James McDonald in the saddle.

This is his chance to return to winning form.
