Daily Racing Tips – Moir Stakes Night Special
The Valley - Race 1 5:15pm AEST
No.1 Extra Time
Extra Time has been racing well without winning this campaign and he finds himself in a very winnable contest at The Valley tonight.
He wasn’t beaten far after getting caught wide in the McNeil Stakes and he had excuses again in the Danehill Stakes.
On exposed form he does have a class edge over the rest of this field and this is his opportunity to return to winning form.
The Valley - Race 3 6:15pm AEST
No. 3 Our Gladiator
Our Gladiator is well and truly over the odds in the Ladbrokes 55 Second Challenge.
Alfa Oro is a deserving favourite, but I can’t get him as short as his current price and that means there is plenty of value around him.
Our Gladiator has a great first-up record and has previously had plenty of success in the Ladbrokes 55 Second Challenge.
The Valley - Race 6 7:45pm AEST
No. 1 Mirage Dancer
Mirage Dancer is the class runner in the Ladbrokes JRA Cup and he represents great value at his current quote.
There was plenty of merit in his first-up run in the Heatherlie Stakes and last preparation he went to another level second-up when he finished third in the Peter Young Stakes.
The step-up in trip is perfect for him and if he produces his best form he will be tough to beat.
The Valley - Race 7 8:15pm AEST
No. 3 Jungle Edge
This is Jungle Edge’s chance to win a Group 1.
There is expected to be some rain in Melbourne on Friday and there is no better wet tracker in the country.
His form over 1000 metres is excellent and he makes his own luck right on the speed.
He is the value runner in a very open edition of the Moir Stakes.
