Peter Moody’s Caulfield Cup Tips

Champion trainer Peter Moody doesn’t have a runner in the Caulfield Cup this year, but he is confident that he has found the winner at very juicy odds.

He has analysed the field and his complete 2020 Caulfield Cup tips are now available.

Winner – Toffee Tongue

This is an incredibly open edition of the Caulfield Cup and it is almost easier to go through this race and work out what can’t win.

I’ve landed on Toffee Tongue each-way. I was very taken by the run of Toffee Tongue in the Turnbull Stakes, which is a terrific lead-in to any major race during the Spring.

I thought she found the line super.

She has drawn a low gate and she has no weight on her back.

Chris Waller will have her at her peak for the Caulfield Cup and I think she is a great each-way bet.

2nd – Anthony Van Dyck

It was a surprise that he didn’t go around in the Arc a week or so ago and he is a very classy galloper.

I don’t think the barrier is going to be such an issue.

This race is a little bit devoid of genuine speed.

I’m thinking Prince Of Arran goes forward and Anthony Van Dyke follows him over.

These European gallopers don’t mind a bit of space and a bit of room.

If he brings his A-game he is no doubt the one to beat.

3rd – Master Of Wine

Master Of Wine is going well and the Caulfield Cup has always been his major target.

This looks like the ideal chance for him to claim a Group 1 victory.

4th – Dalasan

I still think that Dalasan has a big race win in him.

He kept on fighting to the line in the Turnbull Stakes and the 2400 metres might be what he is looking for.
