The Ladbrokes Friday Night Lights season continues at The Valley this Friday and we are set for eight interesting races.

There is no better way to gear up for Victoria Derby Day than backing a host of winners at The Valley and our complete Ladbrokes Friday Night Lights tips can be found below!

Race 1 - 5:30pm

Ladbrokes Easy Form Plate (1600m)

This is a tough way to start the day and there are a host of winning chances.

Bobsled has shown good ability during his two race starts to date and this looks like a lovely race for him.

The Snitzel gelding has shown early speed during his racing career to date and Jamie Kah will have the option to take him straight to the front in the early stages of this contest.

Race 2 - 6:00pm

Vin Drechsler Handicap (1200m)

This is one of the most interesting races of the night and I expect this to be a fairly strong form race going forward.

I like the way that Way To Go Paula won at Pakenham last start and I think that she should take good experience from that performance.

The daughter of Nostradamus looks to have good early speed and Michael Poy is an excellent judge of pace that has a strong record at The Valley.

Race 3 - 6:30pm

Walk For Cancer Thank You Handicap (1200m)

Pintoff has recorded two wins from his three race starts to date and looks like a gelding that is particularly well-suited to The Valley.

I really liked the way that he put away his rivals at Warrnambool last start and he is a galloper that still has plenty of upside.

Lachlan Neindorf will be able to take advantage of barrier one and I am confident that he will give his rivals something to chase.

Race 4 - 7:00pm

Ranvet Handicap (2500m)

Alienated has had plenty of success at The Valley in the past and Cliff Murray has found another nice race for him.

There is no fitter horse in this field and Campbell Rawiller will look to turn this 2500 metres race into a genuine staying contest.

Alienated will have some of his rivals off the bit a long way from home and he will prove tough to run down in the concluding stages.

Race 5 - 7:30pm

Ladbrokes 55 Second Challenge (955m)

Whipcracker Wax is a very exciting horse and it will be interesting to see how he measures up in the Ladbrokes 55 Second Challenge.

He has recorded four wins from his five race starts to date and there is plenty to like about his front-running style.

The Shamus Award gelding looks to have speed to burn and he is sure to give his rivals something to catch.

Race 6 - 8:00pm

Drummond Golf Handicap (1000m)

There is plenty of speed in this contest and they should go at a very solid clip in the early stages of this race.

The Commoner appeals in what is a very open race.

She has scored three wins from her seven race starts and she was pretty tough when she finished third at The Valley last start.

Campbell Rawiller in the saddle is a positive and I think she can bounce back to winning form.

Race 7 - 8:30pm

McCafe Handicap (2040m)

I found this one of the toughest races of the night from a betting perspective.

This could be the right contest for Lord Bouzeron.

He wasn’t disgraced in the Murtoa Cup and he wasn’t beaten far behind Saracen Knight at Caulfield before that.

Will Price should be able to ride him aggressively and turn this into a genuine staying contest.

Race 8 - 9:00pm

Seppelt Wines Handicap (1600m)

Just Jake has gone to another level this campaign and he is well-placed to return to winning form at The Valley tonight.

He has form around some quality gallopers this preparation and I really liked his run behind November Dreaming at Geelong on Geelong Cup.

The Reward For Effort gelding should be able to stalk the speed and will have every possible chance in the run.
