The Magic Millions is here!
The Magic Millions has developed into one of the highlights of the Australian Racing Calendar and we are set for nine fascinating races at the Gold Coast on Saturday.
We have analysed every single race on the card and our complete 2021 Magic Millions Day tips can be found below.
Race 1 - 1:15pm AEDT
Magic Millions Maiden Plate (1200m)
The Magic Millions Maiden is always a very open betting affair and the 2021 edition of the race is no exception.
This isn’t a race that I am keen to heavily invest in, but Lady Of Luxury does represent some value at her current quote of $10.
She finished last campaign with a third place finish in the Wellington Boot and her two barrier trials ahead of her return to the races have been strong.
The daughter of Criterion has upside and she represents some value at $10.

Race 2 - 1:50pm AEDT
Magic Millions Open Handicap (1800m)
It is no surprise that there has been good early money for Frosty Rocks and I think he is a good bet to turn-the-tables on Paradee in the Magic Millions Open Handicap.
Frosty Rocks has been racing well without winning this campaign and there was plenty to like about the toughness that he showed in The Wave at the Gold Coast last Saturday.
Nash Rawiller will be able to take him straight to the front in the early stages and he will ensure that the Your Song gelding has every possible chance in the run.

Race 3 - 2:25pm AEDT
Magic Millions Subzero (2400m)
The stayers get their chance in the Magic Millions Subzero and this is another open affair.
Black On Gold has finished in the placings in the past two years and there is no reason why he can’t be in the mix once again.
He showed he is still racing well with his win in the Ladies’ Day Cup at Hawkesbury and he has gone on to run well in the ATC Cup and the Summer Cup.
This race isn’t any tougher and he maps to get a lovely run in transit with Brenton Avdulla in the saddle.

Race 4 - 3:00pm AEDT
Magic Millions Snippets (1200m)
The Magic Millions Snippets is one of the most interesting races of the day and the field is absolutely packed full of quality.
Both King Of Hastings and Exhilirates represent genuine value in what is a very open race.
King Of Hastings has always been a horse with plenty of talent and its win at Randwick on Saturday was outstanding.
I like the fact that it is on the quick back-up and it is no surprise that it has been well-backed early.
Exhilarates was disappointing last start in the Just Now Quality and she will need some luck from the wide barrier draw, but I think on her best form she is the class sprinter in this field.
I expect her to settle in the second half of the field and James McDonald will give her the chance to show off her sharp turn-of-foot.
$14 is over the odds for a horse of her quality.

Race 5 - 3:35pm AEDT
Magic Millions Fillies & Mares (1300m)
Athiri is racing in career best form and she is clearly the horse to beat in the Magic Millions Fillies & Mares.
The Godolphin filly has now recorded four wins from her past five race starts and she continues to improve every time that she is seen at the races.
She beat a strong field to win the Razor Sharp in Sydney and she treated her rivals with disdain in the Nudgee Stakes.
Nash Rawiller in the saddle is an advantage and she maps to get a dream run in transit from barrier five.

Magic Millions Classic (1200m)
This is a fascinating edition of the Magic Millions Classic and there are a number of different angles in the race.
Shaquero and Finance Tycoon fought out the finish in the Aquis Gold Nugget at the Gold Coast last Saturday and I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw a repeat in the Magic Millions Classic.
It takes a serious horse to win the Breeders’ Plate and it would not shock if Shaquero was ready to peak in the Magic Millions Classic.
He was very poor in the BJ McLachlan, but he returned to a semblance of his best form on Saturday and he should take good improvement from that run.
Hugh Bowman will be able to settle him just behind the speed from barrier one and he shouldn’t be $11.
Finance Tycoon will need plenty of luck in running from the wide barrier draw, but three of the past four winners of the Magic Millions Classic all got the job done from wide barrier draws.
The Written Tycoon colt showed his class to win the Maribyrnong Plate at Flemington on Melbourne Cup Day and he showed a lovely turn-of-foot to win at the Gold Coast on Saturday.
His tactical versatility will be key from the wide barrier draw and he is another that I think is over the odds.

Race 7 - 5:00pm AEDT
Magic Millions Guineas (1400m)
I’ve got plenty of respect for Isotope, but Away Game is the horse to beat in the Magic Millions Guineas.
She was a star performer as a two-year-old and I am hopeful that she can go to another level again at three.
Her first-up run in the Mode Plate was excellent.
She looked as though she had the race shot to bits, but a lack of condition told late and Isotope was able to finish over the top of her.
There is no doubt that Away Game will take the most improvement from that contest and her barrier trial between races was excellent.
Away Game has already been well-backed and it would not surprise if she started even shorter.

Race 8 - 5:45pm AEDT
Magic Millions Cup (1400m)
I am keen to bet around Yao Dash in the Magic Millions Cup and that means there is plenty of value to be found.
Outrageous might be the best value bet of the day at his current quote of $15.
He has always been a horse with plenty of talent and I think he has gone to another level this campaign.
There was plenty to like about his win in the Festival Stakes and he wasn’t disgraced behind Greysful Glamour in the Villiers Stakes.
He will get the run of the race from barrier seven with Hugh Bowman in the saddle and $15 is a huge price.

Race 9 - 6:20pm AEDT
Magic Millions QTIS Open (1300m)
This is a tricky race to finish the day and there are a host of winning chances.
Beaufort Park appeals at his current price.
The Warhead gelding finished his last campaign with four straight wins and he returned to the races with a very promising effort at Eagle Farm.
He should take good improvement from that effort and he has recorded two wins from his four second-up starts.
