Royal Randwick - Race 2 1:50pm AEDT
No. 1 Shaquero
Shaquero will return to the races for the first time since his win in the Magic Millions Classic and he is the horse to beat in the Skyline Stakes.
There was plenty to like about the way that he put away his rivals in the Magic Millions Classic and this race is no tougher.
Barrier one is ideal and the wet track shouldn’t be a problem.
Royal Randwick - Race 7 5:05pm AEDT
No. 7 Never Talk
Never Talk is the value runner in an extremely open edition of the Surround Stakes.
She savaged the line to finish second behind Every Rose in the Light Fingers Stakes and she ran the fastest closing sectionals in doing so.
Barrier seven is ideal for her and she has scored two wins from as many starts on a heavy track.
Flemington - Race 6 3:25pm AEDT
No. 1 Fifty Stars
Fifty Stars has the chance to make history and become the first horse to win the Blamey Stakes three years in a row.
He returned to the races with a fairly plain effort in the Apollo Stakes, but he should improve on that effort second-up.
All of his best form has been produced at Flemington, he has scored four wins from his ten starts at the venue, and the step-up to 1600 metres is ideal.
Flemington - Race 7 4:05pm AEDT
No. 2 Tagaloa
Tagaloa led from start to finish to win the CS Hayes Stakes and a repeat of that effort would make him very tough to beat.
There isn’t a huge amount of speed in this race and Luke Currie should be able to find the lead fairly comfortably.
Tagaloa is at his best when he sits right on the speed and it will take a good horse to run him down.
