Daily Racing Tips – The Goodwood Day Special
Doomben - Race 3 12:48pm AEST
No. 11 Incredulous Dream
Incredulous Dream has recorded four wins from her nine race starts and she is a filly that still has plenty of upside.
She could hardly have been more impressive in the Nitschke Stakes in Adelaide and on exposed form she does have a class edge over the rest of this field.
The daughter of Press Statement will settle in the second half of the field from the wide barrier draw, but she will be storming home late.
Doomben - Race 8 4:02pm AEST
No. 2 Spring Heat
Spring Heat is the value runner in what is an open edition of the Bright Shadow.
She has stamped herself as one of the best sprinting mares in New Zealand and she has form around some classy horses.
Barrier three is perfect for her and she maps to get a dream run in transit with Michael Rodd in the saddle.
Flemington - Race 6 2:50pm AEST
No. 3 Persan
The winner of The Andrew Ramsden earns ballot-exempt entry into the Melbourne Cup and Persan is more than deserving of that slot after finishing fifth in ‘the race that stops a nation’ last year.
Persan was a touch disappointing in the William Newton Handicap last start, but he is the class stayer in this field and he is great value to return to winning form.
Morphettville - Race 8 4:22pm AEST
No. 2 Gytrash
Gytrash is one of the best sprinters in Australia and he is well-placed to make a winning return to the races in The Goodwood.
He finished a gallant second behind Trekking in this race last year and there is an argument to be made that he has improved in the past 12 months after winning the Concorde Stakes and the Yes Yes Yes Stakes and finishing in the placings in The Everest.
