Moon Over Alice showed plenty of promise in her maiden racing campaign and she will return to the races in a very winnable contest at Geelong this afternoon.
She wasn’t beaten far on debut at The Valley and she wasn’t disgraced at black-type level in her second race start.
This is a genuine drop in quality and on exposed form she has a clear edge over the rest of this field.
Grabowski has shown plenty of ability, without winning, during his racing career to date and Ciaron Maher and David Eustace look to have finally found the right race for the six-year-old.
He wasn’t beaten far at Warrnambool last start and that race was much tougher than this one.
Jye McNeil can ride him aggressively from the wide barrier draw and he will give his rivals something to chase.
Atomic Rock was well-backed on debut and finished fifth in what ended up being a fairly strong race.
This really isn’t a strong race and that effort suggests that he does have some upside.
He will settle in the second half of the field, but he will be storming home late.
I am confident that Sandstation is a better horse than his record suggests and he finds himself in a winnable contest at Geelong this afternoon.
He hasn’t had any luck in either of his two race starts and before that he was able to win impressively.
With even luck in running, he can return to winning form.
