Daily Racing Tips – Thursday 17th June
Warrnambool - Race 4 1:00pm AEST
No. 8 Wazuzu
Wazuzu won a strong jumps trial at Cranbourne a fortnight ago in classy fashion and if he replicate that effort at the races he will prove very tough to beat.
The eight-year-old is a very fit horse and he has won at Warrnambool before, while the heavy surface should suit.
I am surprised that he is not a clear favourite and it will be interesting to see how he can progress on the jumps circuit.
Warrnambool - Race 5 1:40pm AEST
No. 1 Caliburn
I am confident that Caliburn is a better stayer than his recent form suggests and it would not surprise if he had genuine success over the jumps.
He does have form around some decent horses and he finds himself in a fairly weak affair at Warrnambool this afternoon.
$7.50 is over the odds in what is an open race.
Warrnambool - Race 6 2:20pm AEST
No. 4 Home By Midnight
Home By Midnight has an excellent chance to return to winning form in a fascinating race at Warrnambool this afternoon.
He finished a gallant seventh in the Warrnambool Hurdle and he finished third behind Saunter Boy and The Statesman in the Australian Hurdle last start.
This is a genuine drop in quality and on his best form he is the class horse in this field.
Warrnambool - Race 10 4:30pm AEST
No. 2 Rock Of Kryptonite
Rock Of Kryptonite has recorded two wins on the trot and he is well-placed to continue his winning ways.
His maiden race win at Horsham was nothing short of dominant and he followed that up with a win at Morphettville.
The claim helps him and he should get a lovely run in transit.
