Daily Racing Tips – Ramornie Handicap Day Special

Grafton - Race 1 12:29pm AEST
No. 2 Divine Eleven

Divine Eleven could hardly have been more impressive first-up at Doomben and a repeat of that effort would make him very tough to beat.

He generally doesn’t go backwards second-up and on exposed form he does have a genuine class edge over the rest of this field.

Barrier four is ideal and he should have every possible chance in the run.

Grafton - Race 6 3:24pm AEST
No. 7 Tamilaide

Tamilaide is the horse to beat in the Grafton Guineas and I am surprised that he is not a clear favourite for this contest.

He hasn’t missed the placings in any of his race starts this campaign and he has form around some talented gallopers.

The Adelaide gelding will settle in the second half of the field and will be storming home late.

Grafton - Race 7 3:59pm AEST
No. 5 Southern Lad

Southern Lad has an excellent chance to return to winning form in the Ramornie Handicap and he is great value at his current price.

He has improved each time that he has been seen at the races and he wasn’t beaten far by Superium in the Hinkler Handicap.

The form coming out of that race has been strong and he will have every possible chance to return to winning form in this contest.

Grafton - Race 8 4:34pm AEST
No. 8 Palaszczuk

I am confident that Palaszczuk is a better filly than her current record suggests and she is deserving of her status as a clear favourite for Ramornie Handicap Day.

She was gallant in defeat at the Gold Coast last start and this race doesn’t look any tougher.

Andrew Mallyon will roll forward in the early stages of this race and she will give her rivals something to catch.
